The BRITs Nominations Launch will be broadcast on British TV network ITV on 14 January (17), with French act Christine and the Queens also performing.

Next year's launch show, hosted by British presenter Emma Willis, will be the first time nominees for the British music prizegiving have been announced live on television.

Performer Olly said of the new event, "I'm excited to announce I'll be playing at the BRITs 2017 Nominations Launch. Make sure you tune in to ITV on Saturday January 14th. I always love playing live."

Host Emma added, "I've always been a massive fan of The Brit Awards, it's one of the most fun nights of the year. I watch it religiously so I couldn't be more excited to be a part of the team and to reveal all the nominations for 2017."

The new live nominations show is part of a BRITs shake-up, which has seen more than 700 new experts from across the music industry invited to join the selection process.

The overhaul came after organisers were criticised for a lack of diversity among last year's nominees.

Additional acts are set to be announced as performers at the live nominations show in the coming weeks.

Adele was the big winner at the 2016 ceremony, taking home four trophies, including the coveted British Female Solo Artist award.
