If anything's going to move you to tears today, it will most likely be this new song from Interscope Records: 'Hands', a tribute to the victims of the 2016 Orlando nightclub shooting, featuring Britney Spears, Selena Gomez, Mary J. Blige, Imagine Dragons and many others.

Seeing a bunch of artists come together like this, whether you like modern pop music or not, is a touching thing to behold. And when it's to support an entire community, not just the victims themselves, there's something even more powerful about it. Because it wasn't just the people killed and injured and their friends and families that were affected by the tragedy that took place at Pulse nightclub on June 12 2016, it was the entire LGBT community who felt a blow unlike anything they've ever experienced before.

'If a million hands can build a wall, a million hands can break it down', that's the mantra sung by the artists on 'Hands'. And who are they? Meghan Trainor, Gwen Stefani, Jussie Smollett, Troye Sivan, RuPaul, Nate Ruess, Prince Royce, Pink, Alex Newell, MNEK, Kacey Musgraves, Trans Chorus of Los Angeles, Jennifer Lopez, Mary Lambert, Adam Lambert, Juanes, Imagine Dragons, Ty Herndon, Halsey, Selena Gomez, Tyler Glenn, Britney Spears, Jason Derulo and Mary J. Blige.

The song has been produced by Justin Tranter, Mark Ronson and BLOOD and is released as a charity single by Interscope Records and GLAAD today (July 6th 2016). All proceeds will go to the Equality Florida Pulse Victims Fund, the LGBT Community Center of Central Florida and GLAAD.

The spirit in which the song was recorded tells its own story. People recorded their own segments from all over the world, echoing the fact that all human beings are connected and that you don't have to be a physical part of something to be emotionally invested in it. 'Mary J. Blige recorded in New Orleans. Britney Spears in Thousand Oaks, I think. Pink in Santa Barbara. MNEK recorded at home in London. Selena recorded in her studio bus. Dan Reynolds recorded in his home. Adam Lambert was in Luxembourg. Ty Herndon the country star was in Spain. Kacey Musgraves, Nashville. Everyone just got it done', Tranter told Billboard.
