Britney Spears has bizarrely become entangled with the dating app Bumble, looking to unwind a contract after a man fraudulently posed as her representative to conclude a deal to have the app’s designers sponsor one of her music videos.

Legal representatives for 34 year old Spears claim that Adam Kluger, who allegedly held himself out to be an official rep for the singer, negotiated with Bumble for an $800,000 deal that would place the company’s name and branding over her next video, according to a letter obtained by TMZ.

Kluger apparently got Bumble to agree to a $200,000 up-front fee and also managed to get Spears’ label, RCA, to agree to pay $450,000 for promotion of Bumble’s branding in the video. Unbelievably, he managed to get a 43% agent’s free of $350,000, which is hugely more than any agent would charge.

In response, lawyers for Kluger claim that he did nothing wrong, and never told Bumble that he represented Britney. He told TMZ that his company is a creative agency that seeks to put people and companies together for new projects – which is what he did in this instance. He also said that he has worked with Spears before, including on a project with another dating app, Plenty of Fish.

“We have been delivering deals to Britney Spears through RCA records since 2011,” his company said in a statement to MailOnline on Tuesday (October 25th). “We were fully authorized to do a deal by Britney's record company. This a dispute is with a brand client and all allegations will be defended.”

“We are going to defend the sterling reputation of The Kluger Agency in court as necessary,” his lawyers told TMZ in response to the initial article. “The allegations are false. The Kluger Agency has done nothing wrong.”

Advertising guru Kluger, who has also worked with the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Eminem, claims he’s on Forbes’ list of 30 Most Influential People in Music Under the Age of 30.
