Fact: CLUELESS, the cult 1995 film that turned Alicia Silverstone, Brittany Murphy and Stacey Dash into big stars, is to hit Broadway as a new musical. Writer/director Amy Heckerling has confirmed plans to revamp the high school comedy for the stage, calling the new version "a jukebox musical". Rock of Ages mastermind Kristin Hanggi has signed on to direct the project.

Fact: Former child actress Dakota Fanning paid tribute to her Uptown Girls co-star, Brittany Murphy, with a mini photo collage on her Instagram.com page on Tuesday (16Jul13), alongside the caption, "Still thinking about you every day! I miss you! Rip". Murphy passed away in 2009 from pneumonia, anaemia and excessive use of prescription medications.

The tragic couple will lie side by side at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles. Monjack died from a suspected heart attack on Sunday (23May10), five months after Murphy died at the Hollywood home they shared.
