Brokeback Mountain star Randy Quaid and his wife have been arrested in Texas in connection with charges they failed to pay a hotel bill.
The couple is accused of racking up the debt during a stay at the luxury San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara in June (09).
A judge issued a warrant for the couple's arrest after hotel bosses claimed the Quaids had left without settling a $10,000 (£6,660) bill.
Houston native Quaid and his wife Evi were arrested in rural Marfa on Thursday afternoon (24Sep09), according to People.com. As WENN went to press the couple was in custody awaiting arraignment.
Reports suggest the actor assaulted arresting sheriff's deputies physically and verbally.
Bail has been set at $20,000 (£13,300) each.
According to reports, the Brokeback Mountain star attempted to charge the bill to his credit card - but it was declined and he failed to produce another form of payment before leaving the resort.
The couple faces felony charges of allegedly burglarising and defrauding the hotel owner.
