The Long Branch, New Jersey home was put on the market in 2013 for $350,000 (£219,000), but the current owners, three fans of the rocker, failed to find buyer, and it's now back on sale for $299,000 (£187,000), according to the Associated Press.

The fans purchased the house in 2009 with the idea of transforming the property into a tribute to their music idol, but their plans did not go through.

The New Jersey rocker lived in the two-bedroom cottage from 1974 to 1975, and wrote the titular track from the Born To Run album, as well as his classics Thunder Road and Jungleland.
