Bruce Willis has confirmed 'Die Hard 6' is in the works.

The action star will next be seen in the fifth instalment of the franchise, 'A Good Day to Die Hard', but before the film has even been released, Bruce has revealed there is yet another movie in the pipeline.

When asked by BBC's 'The One Show' co-host Alex Jones about the possibility of another 'Die Hard' movie, Bruce simply smiled and responded: ''Yes.''

The franchise recently celebrated its 25th birthday by unveiling a statue of the 57-year-old actor as his character John McClane in the Los Angeles studio where production takes place.

Bruce has previously expressed how pleased he is the action-packed films have been spread out over 27 years as he feels it is the perfect way to document his life and thinks his ageing made the storylines more believable.

He explained: ''If you said to any 30-year-old actor, 'OK, over the next five years, you're going to have to age from 30 to 57 and make five films for us...' If that had been me I would have failed horribly.

''It just wouldn't have worked. Having done five films over the course of 27 years, what you see is my life moving forward and where I am at the age of 30, 31, 40, 57...''

'A Good Day to Die Hard' is in cinemas on February 14.
