Garth Ancier is countersuing Michael Egan over abuse claims.
Garth Ancier, the Hollywood television executive who was accused of sexual abuse in the late 1980's, is countersuing a former teenage actor who dropped the lawsuit two days ago. Ancier, who worked for Fox and NBC, is suing Michael Egan and his attorneys Jeff Herman and Michael Gallagher, alleging abuse of process.

Ancier was among three other Hollywood executives including director Bryan Singer who was accused of sexually abusing Michael Egan when he was an aspiring actor. All four denied the claims and filed motions to dismiss.
Ancier's lawsuit requests a jury trial to determine the charges and damages caused to his reputation from Egan's claims.
In a statement on Friday, Egan's lawyer Herman said "Mike Egan maintains that he was sexually abused by Garth Ancier."
"This is nothing more than an attempt to silence victims. I will not be bullied and I will continue to fight for victims of sexual abuse even when it happens in Hollywood," he added.

Ancer's counter suit reads: "The Action was brought to smear, harass and severely injure Mr. Ancier, as part of an avowed and very public campaign by Mr. Egan's counsel to troll for new clients who would enable them to shake down other entertainment industry executives with threats of sexual assault charges."
The original claims alleged that all four individuals committed the abuse between August 1999 and October 1999 in Hawaii. Egan was just 16 at the time.
