Actress Bryce Dallas Howard Burst Into Tears As She Presented Her Father Ron Howard With A Special Prize From The Directors Guild Of America (Dga) On Thursday (15oct15).
The Jurassic World star turned out for the glitzy ceremony at the DGA Theater in New York City to present one of the 2015 DGA Honors to the Apollo 13 director.
Bryce made an emotional speech about her beloved father, and she fought back tears as she introduced him to the podium to pick up his award.
During the event, which honours Hollywood's top filmmakers, Leonardo DiCaprio presented an honour to Thelma Schoonmaker, the editor behind several of his films including The Aviator and The Departed.
Other honourees included actor/director Tyler Perry, who was recognised for his contribution to film and television and for setting up his own production centre in Atlanta, Georgia.
The event was hosted by Scottish actor Alan Cumming.
