Review of We Made It Single by Busta Rhymes

Single review of We Made It by Busta Rhymes featuring Linkin Park released through Aftermath.

Busta Rhymes We Made It Single

Having been around for over a decade, Busta Rhymes is one of America's most respected hip-hop artists, while Linkin Park have survived the nu-metal sunken ship to be one of the world's biggest modern rock bands. This is a cut from Rhymes' 'Blessed' album, to be released later in the summer.

Collaborations between established artists are rarely inspiring and while far from poor, this effort is far too conservative to get truly excited about. More urban than rock, Rhymes and Mike Shinoda trade mid-paced rapped verses about making it in the music industry, while Chester Bennington provides a chorus which falls short of being fully uplifting. There's enough in there to please fans of both camps, but you can't help but have a suspicion of this being a cash-in exercise.
