Cara Delevingne might have made her name on the catwalk, modelling for some of the biggest brands in the world, but she’s made a surprising admission that many celeb pundits have speculated upon for some time now – she doesn’t actually care about fashion!

The 23 year old supermodel was speaking to ITV’s ‘Lorraine’ on Thursday morning promoting her new movie Paper Towns, when she said “modelling is my job but really I don’t care about fashion. I love it, but it’s not something that bothers me that much.”

Cara allegedly cut ties with the Storm Modelling agency a few months ago – her profile temporarily disappeared from their website, though it has now been restored – but she assured fans by telling OK! magazine: “I'm going to carry on modelling - it's just going to happen a lot less. Actresses do modelling jobs, so it'll be kind of the same thing.”

When asked by Lorraine about her hopes for her acting career, she said “I want to play strong female roles girls can look up to and be inspired by.” Her character in Paper Towns – the female lead of Margo – is a bored tomboy in a non-descript small American town, and she revealed that the script made her identify with Margo’s personality, who loves playing pranks to pass the time.

With Cara seemingly turning her back on modelling to pursue a career in acting – as well as Paper Towns, she’s in the process of filming Suicide Squad due for 2016 – there’s been rumours that her friend and mentor Kate Moss had fallen out with her over the decision.

One of Moss’s friends told The Sun yesterday: “Kate has blacklisted Cara now. It’s very unfortunate and hopefully might be a temporary thing, but they’re definitely not friends at the moment.” However, Cara posted a sweet Instagram picture of both of them side by side, assuring everybody that all was well between them.
