Two rising stars in pop music, 'Call Me Maybe' star Carly Rae Jepsen and Australian youngster Cody Simpson performed together at Birmingham's NIA. Cody is only 16 but despite his tender years not only does he look a lot older, but his mature voice steps up to the mark of his 26 year old colleague, Jepsen.

Jepsen's runaway hit 'Call Me Maybe' bagged her a Grammy nomination. Although she didn't win the Grammy she can still keep her head high after her song became the highest selling single of 2012 in Canada. Numerous spoof videos were made of the song from the US marines to chat roulette parodies.

Jepsen has been supporting Justin Bieber's Believe tour

Cody Simpson forged himself a good career via YouTube, akin to Justin Bieber, with videos of himself covering well loved songs like Jason Mraz's 'I'm Yours' and Justin Timberlake covers. In other Cody Simpson news the youngster has bagged a book deal with Harper Collins the publishers. According to Yahoo the book will be called Welcome to Paradise: My Journey.

The pair have been supporting Justin Bieber in his Believe tour. Jepsen will also be performing at various music festivals this summer.
