Carrie Ann Inaba, the current judge on Dancing With The Stars, has her eye on a new job. According to the New York Post, the 44-year-old is keen to join Kelly Ripa on the 'The View' after co-hosting the program on four separate occasions.
Inaba has spoken of her delight at being asked to guest-host the show, saying, "I love co-hosting with Kelly [Ripa]. And I loved when I co-hosted on "The View". Sources say Inaba is yet to be offered the job, though executive producer Michael Gelman is still yet to approach anybody, some six months after Regis' departure. It was presumed that a replacement would be in place by May, when local television audiences are measured and syndicated shows such as 'Live' frantically attempt to build up viewers. Carrie Ann Inaba doesn't expect to be installed as the new host, saying, "I think they are looking for a guy.So I am not sure what is going to happen there."
Anchor Pat Kiernan, who is co-hosting this week, has said he would jump at the chance to take the job if offered. Other guest hosts since Regis' departure have included Jerry Seinfeld, Neil Patrick Harris, Derek Hough and JONAH HILL.
