Carrie Underwood feels her son is always ''analysing'' her.

The 32-year-old singer and husband Mike Fisher welcomed son Isaiah into the world in February and she loves the way he is growing and learning every day.

She said: ''He's such a sweet baby. He's so smiley and cuddly and he laughs.

''Every day it's something new right now. You can see him just analysing you and looking at you.''

The 'Before He Cheats' hitmaker walked the red carpet at the CMT Awards in a fitted Thomas Wylde white mini dress earlier this week and despite showing off her slender post-baby figure, she insists she is still ''on her way'' to getting back in shape and can't guarantee herself regular workouts.

She told 'Access Hollywood': ''Workouts have to kind of happen when they can happen. And sometimes Mike is there in the mornings and I'm like, 'Can you watch him for a few minutes... I'm going to go for a run real quick.'

''It's just been kind of my own journey trying to feel like myself again. I'm still on my way. But yeah, I feel good.''

And it took some time before Carrie could do any exercise after giving birth.

She told E! News: ''I couldn't workout for a few weeks because I ended up having to have a cesarean--blah, blah, blah, too much information.''
