British comedienne Catherine Tate has been cast in the upcoming revival of Stephen Sondheim's stage musical Assassins in London.

Tate will join actors Mike MCShane and Andy Nyman for the Menier Chocolate Factory's production, which features the stories of 10 people who have attempted or successful killed an American president.
Tate is no stranger to the stage, having appeared in previous West End productions including Much Ado About Nothing, Under the Blue Sky and Some Girl(s).
Assassins, which was last in the West End in 1992, begins on 1 December (14) and runs until 7 March (15).
