It may be nearly 40 years since A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving originally aired (on CBS at the time), but it managed to draw 8.1 million viewers to ABC Wednesday night, holding its own against CBS's Survivor, which attracted 9.4 million viewers and beating Fox's The X-Factor with 7.2 million. It was the best showing for the annual holiday treat in four years and was up 22 percent from a year ago. In the same time period, NBC's Whitney drew just 3.9 million viewers. The show is scheduled to be repeated tonight (Thursday), when presumably millions of Americans will be joining the Peanuts family in a feast of pretzel sticks, toast, popcorn, jelly beans and gelatin sundaes.
