Tusk

There's a new trailer this week for Kevin Smith's horror-comedy Tusk, starring Justin Long as a podcast producer who is kidnapped and forced to live as a walrus by a very strange man played by B-movie veteran Michael Parks. The film costars Haley Joel Osment, Genesis Rodriguez and Johnny Depp, and opens next month in America. It looks seriously gruesome. Watch 'Tusk' Trailer.

After a couple of viral teasers, the first trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 was released this week, offering a longer glimpse of the new movie, which clearly breaks out of the structure of the first two films. It looks darker and even more intense, with some big revolutionary-style action. The trailer also includes scenes featuring Julianne Moore as well as the late Philip Seymour Hoffman. The film opens in November. Watch 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1' Trailer.

The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies

The first trailer for the third and final Hobbit movie was also released this week. The Battle of the Five Armies opens in December to wrap up the epic journey of Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) and a band of tetchy dwarfs. It looks suitably climactic, with dark drama and, of course, massive battles. The film opens in December. Watch 'The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies' Teaser Trailer.

And finally, we had our first trailer for the long-gestating reboot Mad Max: Fury Road, which has been in production since 2009 and opens next May. It stars Tom Hardy as the title character made famous by Mel Gibson in three films from 1979 to 1985. While it gives little away regarding the plot, the new trailer is packed with impressive desert-based action chaos. Costars include Charlize Theron, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Nicholas Hoult. Watch 'Mad Max: Fury Road' First Look Trailer.
