Filmmaker Rupert Wyatt Has Exited The Much-anticipated Film Adaptation Of Gambit Due To A Scheduling Conflict.
The Rise of the Planet of the Apes director reportedly signed on to helm the superhero film, starring Channing Tatum, in June (15).
The project was scheduled to begin shooting in November (15), but it has been pushed to March (16), according to Deadline.com.
A statement from Wyatt reads, "I was very much looking forward to working with my friend Channing and the team at Fox, but regrettably a push in the start date now conflicts with another project.
"I thank them for the opportunity, and I know that Gambit will make a terrific film."
Executives at the movie studio are reportedly looking to fill the director spot quickly.
