British rockers The Charlatans' latest gig was an unusual one - they performed in the middle of the sea.
Tim Burgess' cult act played an intimate 30-minute acoustic set at the Spitbank Fort in the Solent off the coast of Portsmouth, England on Thursday (21Jun12).
Guitarist Mark Collins tells Absolute Radio, "We've done stadiums, we've done churches, we've done back gardens, and now we're doing a Napoleonic fort in the middle of the Solent. All part of the repertoire."
The sea-faring gig was a warm up for their upcoming Isle of Wight Festival appearance on Saturday (23Jun12).
