Cheryl Cole's new bum tattoo has provoked much derision towards her choice to get a heavy image of red roses tattooed over her cheeks and lower back. Critics have called the singer out as "crazy" after the image of her new ink surfaced on the tattoo artist's Instagram profile.

Cheryl's New Tattoo Has Sparked Horror Amongst Fans & Critics.

Artist Nikko Hurtado, known for his photorealistic work on his client's skin, posted a pic of the lower half of his latest subject's body with the caption: "Here is a in progress shot of a Tattoo I've been covering up and reworking. Really exited to show healed shots. It was some intense tattooing sessions. She's tough as nails. [sic]"

Though Hurtado didn't name the former Girls Aloud member, a front page article run by The Sun newspaper linked the tattoo to its owner and Twitter responded with shock at Cheryl's decision to commission such hardcore ink. After a reported 15 hours on the tattoist's table to cover up a previous, less colourful butterfly piece, the former X Factor judge reacted without any regret towards her new tat, tweeting "People are entitled to their own opinion. Personally I've never really concerned myself with other people's body parts!"
