Childish Gambino's performance was the highlight of the mtvU Woodies 2014.
Childish Gambino took to the stage at the mtvU Woodie Awards on Sunday night, singing the hook to his song '3005' while surrounding by color-shifting Christmas lights.

"Girl why is you lying, girl why you Mufasa," he rhymed. "Yeah, mi casa su casa, got stripper like Gaza/Got so high off volcanoes, now the flow is so lava." With his face illuminated only by the lights, Gambino was then joined by a marching band similarly lit up.
Wearing a vest, board shorts and sneakers, Gambino - aka, the comedian Donald Glover - quickfire rapped, "Hip deep in the Pepto/I got five on her like Ben Folds/I got more tail than that Petco/You faker than some Sweet'NLow"
Woodie of the Year - or "the artist that completely owned the past 12 months" - went to Drake, who released his critically acclaimed third studio album and appeared on just about every hip-hop track released.
The 'Did It My Way Woodie' - which is pretty self-explanatory - went to Beyonce, who released her self-titled album without any promotion or warning.
The 'Breaking Woodie' - which honors emerging artists - went to The 1975, who also performed at the ceremony.
The 'Performing Woodie' - which honors a reimagined live performance - went to UK singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.
"I played the Woodies back in 2012 and saw everyone win an award and was quite jealous, so it's actually nice to win one," Sheeran said. "Thanks to the fans for voting and thank to you to mtvU for creating the award and for giving it to me"
Best Video Woodie went to Chance the Rapper for 'Everybody's Something', while A$AP Rocku and Skrillex took home Best Collaboration Woodie for their work on 'Wild for the Night'.
