Yet more trouble for Breezy.
Just as Chris Brown’s probation was running out, the term has been extended. The singer is required to serve an additional 1000 hours of community service, added to the original sentence he received in 2009 for assaulting his then girlfriend, Rihanna. The sentence was extended due to procecutors’ accusations that Brown failed to properly report his original 1440 hours of community labor.
Brown's court visits have attracted more attention than his music of late.
In July, Brown’s five-year probation was revoked, after he was called into court on a misdemeanor hit-and-run. While the charges were dropped, this caused the court to reexamine the singer’s probation. On Friday, judge James Brandlin reinstated the probation. Sentencing Brown to the additional 1000 hours or 125 days, which he will be required to serve by Aug. 25, 2014, the L.A. Times reports.
The singer has been served with an additional 1000 hours.
After the singer had, according to his lawyers, served the original 1,440 hours, the prosecution found some inconsistencies with the reports he submitted. For instance, at one point, the report claimed that Brown had completed four hours of trash pickup when he was actually en route to Cancun, Mexico, while at another point it was stated that he was picking up trash in Richmond when he was photographed at a charity event in Washington, D.C. Breezy however remained unperturbed by the unpleasant turn of events. After his renewed sentence was announced on Friday, he tweeted the following to his fans: “while you guys kill yourself over bulls**t ill keep directing stuff like this! Thx team breezy!!”
Brown himself wasn't bothered by the sentence.
He added a link to his latest video with Nicki Minaj. The “non-stop negativity”, which according to Brown’s reps caused him enough stress to land the singer in hospital last week, doesn’t seem to have much of an effect at this point.
Will this add to the stress that landed Brown in hospital?
