Chris Brown's new album has been delayed quite a few times in the past year, but Team Breezy finally has a reason to celebrate: the long-awaited record, X, will be released on September 16. The question is, will anybody still care?

Chris Brown PerformsChris Brown’s X now has a September release date

X was originally scheduled to be out on July 16, 2013, until it was pushed back until August 20. Then it was supposed to be out in November. Then December. Then May! Aaaaand then Chris Brown went to jail. Now that he's out, the new September release date is currently what's set in stone - but anything can happen. The cover art was released, and the album will allegedly be a double disc record with ten songs on each disc.

The reason for September? “He’s not trying to rush the songs, the production or the release date," said a source to The Hollywood Life. The same source mentions that Brown is hoping X sells a ton of copies. Well, duh. Luckily for him, he's currently got a good thing going with his recent singles. Though an X track listing isn't confirmed, the five singles that could possibly make it haven't performed too badly. 'Love More' featuring Nicki Minaj peaked at number 23, while 'Fine China' didn't move past 31. His big hit and pretty much guaranteed X track, 'Loyal,' reached number nine on the charts, making it Chris Brown's 11th top ten single.
