Chris Brown has reportedly suffered a minor seizure this Friday. According to The Hollywood Reporter, an emergency unit was called to a Los Angeles recording studio early on Friday morning (August 9) to attend to Brown’s non-epileptic seizure (NES). The exact cause of the episode is unknown, but according to a rep for Brown, it was due to something similar to that ever-present celebrity trigger – exhaustion. In Chris’s case, it was apparently media related anxiety that led to the trouble.

Brown suffered a seizure on Friday morning.

"Chris suffered a nonepileptic seizure (NES). ... His doctor tended to him this afternoon and attributes the NES to intense fatigue and extreme emotional stress, both due to the continued onslaught of unfounded legal matters and the nonstop negativity."

Brown's rep blamed the episode on stress.

The “legal matters” comment might refer to Brown’s most recent hit-and-run incident on May 21, for which the singer served some time in a Van Nuys, Calif. Jail this week, according to E!News. Brown has gotten in multiple instances of legal trouble in the past few years, not to mention all the bad press he’s been getting for a while now. However, his seizure is also rather questionable at this point, considering that when the emergency team arrived on the scene, Brown refused both on-site treatment and hospitalization. Nevertheless, the case received enough attention for the hashtag PrayForChrisBrown to start trending on Twitter.
