The former Saturday Night Live funnyman raised concerns among Southwest Airlines staff members after he was spotted mumbling and walking around the gate at Sky Harbor Airport.

Airport police were called to remove Kattan, who told officers he was still struggling with the after-effects of taking the sedative Ambien earlier in the day.

He was taken to a nearby hotel to take a nap, and was subsequently allowed back in the terminal to catch a later flight back home to Los Angeles, reports TMZ.com.

Kattan hit headlines last year (14) when he was sentenced to three years' probation for crashing his car while under the influence of the sleeping pill, hours after he displayed erratic behaviour on a mid-air flight and had to be escorted off.
