O'Dowd and his wife welcomed their first child on January 25th
On Sunday morning (Feb 1st) O'Dowd took to Twitter to share with his 600 thousand followers, "It's a boy! @HotPatooties & I would like to introduce Art O'Porter, our gorgeous baby. Well, I'm pretty sure he's ours."
Along with the tweet, the 35-year-old actor also posted a photoshopped picture of a baby with a full head of hair and a beard.

O'Dowd's wife also confirmed the baby news on Twitter, but she decided to leave the jokes out. "Thanks all. He is one week old today," she wrote. "It's been a beautiful week. I think we'll definitely keep him;)."
The 'Bridesmaids' star and O'Porter confirmed they were expecting their first child together while taking part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge back in August. "I've been nominated by a bunch of bloody idiots. So I guess it's time," O'Dowd said in his video. "I'd like to nominate Baby O'Porter."

O'Dowd and his actress/producer wife first met in 2009 during a dinner party and they eventually tied the knot in 2012 after a 7-month engagement. In 2013, O'Porter credited her hubby for not letting her hit "rokbottom" while her career was floundering.
"I thank God I met Chris when all that was going on, because if I hadn't I might have really hit rock bottom," she told the Daily Mail. "We got together just as Chris' career was taking off, so we experienced it together. Because it was all happening for him, I still got to live this amazing life."
