Chris Pine thinks the reaction to his nude scene in 'Outlaw King' is an example of ''double standards''.
The 38-year-old actor - who stars as the legendary warrior Robert the Bruce in the historical drama film - shot a full-frontal nude scene for his role in the movie, but Chris is unsure why it provoked such a strong reaction.
He reflected: ''I bare the 'full monty' and it got a lot of attention ... What did strike me most is that (co-star) Florence Pugh bares everything too and no-one commented.
''I am not sure what that means. Either people think they can't comment or everyone expects women to get naked. Either way, it's double standards.''
'Outlaw King' tells the story of how Bruce and his 500-strong army of men manged to defeat the bigger, better-equipped English army.
Chris uses a Scottish accent throughout the movie, and the American actor has revealed he even persisted with it when he was away from the set.
He told 'The Graham Norton Show': ''I figured I'd get crucified for it but I had a wonderful voice coach and the cast were all Scottish so I figured they would pick me up on things.
''I am not a method actor, but I would keep up the accent in the pub after filming.''
Meanwhile, Chris previously claimed that taking the safest career option can often transpire to be the bravest choice.
The Hollywood actor - who is, perhaps, best-known known for playing James T. Kirk in the 'Star Trek' films - previously admitted to being torn between ''artistic principles'' and the temptation to star in big-budget movies.
Reflecting on his 'Star Trek' experience, he shared: ''I had a week to ponder it.
''I talked to my sister, and she made a good point: instead of looking at 'Star Trek' as sacrificing your artistic principles, is there a way to look at it as a bigger challenge? She was right.
''The bigger challenge was the thing that I thought all along was the easy route.''
