Kylie Jenner Christina Aguilera

Kylie Jenner's Halloween costume is definitely one of our favourites this year. She went all out as Christina Aguilera in the 2002 video 'Dirrty' for a party that took place in LA this weekend. Sure it wasn't scary, but it was definitely scarily accurate.

Kylie JennerKylie Jenner has a jam-packed Halloween weekend

Christina AguileraChristina Aguilera will not duet with the Whitney Houston hologram on ‘The Voice’ finale.

Miley Cyrus Gwen Stefani Christina Aguilera Blake Shelton

She only announced last month that she was joining ‘The Voice’ as a special advisor, but Miley Cyrus seems to be making her move to the NBC reality show more permanent, revealing she’ll be a coach on season 11.

The 23 year old singer will be making her debut on the show on Monday (March 28th) when the knockout rounds commence and her role as Key Advisor begins, which will see her offer advice to all teams and contestants.

The Super Bowl XLIX was all anyone could talk about over the weekend - and it wasn't just about the epic win of the New England Patriots over the Seattle Seahawks. As per usual, this year provided some pretty hilarious highlights, most notably from 'The Tonight Show''s Jimmy Fallon.

After Eventful Pregancy, Christina Aguilera And Matt Rutler Welcome Baby Girl

Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera and Matt Rutler just welcomed a baby girl into the world this weekend! The consensus around the web is: we couldn’t be happier for the offspring of two people we’ve never met and are unlikely to ever meet. And they make a really cute family. And Christina looked stunning in her pregnancy photoshoot for V Magazine, so based on that completely unscientific evidence, we expect the little one to look as cute as the tiniest, sparkliest button in the bowl. You know, when they decide to finally sell those first baby photos.

Christina Aguilera
Christina and her fiance have created a new human.

The Genie In A Bottle singer met Rutler on the set of 2010’s Burlesque, where he worked as a production assistant. So there’s one good thing that came out of that movie, at least. The two dated for a few years, before announcing their engagement in February. He proposed on Valentine’s Day, because they’re just oldschool and romantic like that. Soon after, the artist formerly known as Xtina broke news of the pregnancy and it’s been Happily Ever After since. A few weeks before the birth, Aguilera showed off her baby bump and motherly pride in the aforementioned photoshoot. She’s also apparently been working on a new album and Baby got the very first listen. The mom-to-be shared a picture from the recording session, as you do, of herself with a pair of headphones around the bump. She captioned said masterpiece: “t self in a studio with a pair of headphones placed on her baby bump. "Baby girl getting first listen to what mama's been creating in the studio.”

Congrats To Christina Aguilera For Creating A Brand New Human! Again!

Christina Aguilera

You love babies, we love babies, let’s have some baby announcement to end a truly awful week of news. The baby news comes courtesy of Christina Aguilera and fiance Matt Rutler, who welcomed their first daughter together (or child of any persuasion, actually). Aguilera already has one son – six-year-old Max – with ex husband Jordan Bratman.

Christina Aguilera
Christina Aguilera has created life. Again.

Aguilera and Rutler have been engaged for a month and made the pregnancy announcement way back in February. During her pregnancy, Aguilera was not the shy, retiring type of mom-to-be. In fact, she even posed completely nude for V magazine just a few weeks before giving birth, showing off an impressive bump and an even more impressive level of comfort and confidence.

Renee Fleming Announced For Super Bowl 2014: A Look Back On Some Of The Great Anthem Singers Through The Years

Renee Fleming Aretha Franklin Garth Brooks Beyonce Knowles Jennifer Hudson Christina Aguilera

Opera soprano Renee Fleming has been announced to sing the “Star-Spangled Banner” at the NFL Super Bowl XLVIII in MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., on Feb. 2. Fleming’s appointment is a pretty big deal, considering that the Super Bowl is easily the most watched television event of the year in the US. Last year, 111 million people nationwide tuned into the game, the infamous Super Bowl ads and, of course, the half time show. Fleming is also a bit of an unusual choice, given that the anthem has been performed by mainstream pop stars every year for the past decade.

Renee Fleming
When it comes to performing live, Fleming is a trusted veteran.

Some of the performances have been stunning and unforgettable, like Aretha Franklin’s 2006 rendition, while others, like Christina Aguilera’s 2011 blunder might be better left forgotten. Hopefully, this year’s anthem performance will have patriots in tears (the good kind), but if not, there are always these historical renditions to look back on fondly.

Christina Aguilera & Cee Lo Green Are Back With A Vengeance In 'The Voice' Season Opener

Christina Aguilera Cee-Lo Green Blake Shelton Adam Levine

The quest to find America's next singing sensation is on, and we've got two familiar faces returning to the fifth season of The Voice to boot, as Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green made their triumphant returns to the hit series. And now, with the show earning it's very first Emmy win, for 'Best Reality Competition,' the pressure was on for the season opener to deliver, and you better believe that it did.

Christina Aguilera
Christina was back, and arguably came away from the opening night with the best performer.

Season five's opening episode wasn't just a blast because we got to see Christina, Cee Lo, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton back together again, although admittedly that was pretty great, but more because the first round of acts were some of the best singers the show has ever had! Maybe it had something to do with the return of the Holy Alliance, or maybe it was to do with the night's 'Rock 'n' Roll' theme, who knows maybe the just put something in the water, but last night (23 Sept.) the blind auditions were out of this world.

Christina Aguilera Feels "Sexier Than Ever" As She Reveals Slim Figure On Jay Leno's Show

Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera commanded everyone's attention in her appearance on 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno' as she turned up in a low-cut little black dress that perfectly showed off her famous curves on Wednesday night (September 18 2013).

The 32 year old did a recent spread for raunchy magazine Maxim where she told the lad's mag, "the one place I don't need to be in control is in the bedroom."

Leno didn't hesitate to ask the singer to elaborate. She explained: "I'm a big micromanager. I'm a stickler about organization: everything needs a place, a purpose... I think every woman should relax and allow herself to be pleased in the bedroom. It's the one place I can let go."

Casual And Gorgeous, Christina Aguilera Poses For October Cover Of Maxim

Christina Aguilera

There were a few career benchmarks left for Christina Aguilera’s career – a Maxim cover, a greatest hits album, that sort of thing. Now the singer, formerly known as Xtina has ticked one off the list with her first cover for the high-profile men’s magazine. On the saucy cover, Aguilera poses provocatively in a black bra and white button down. The entire piece features several seductive shots of the songstress, as well as a full-length interview. In it, Christina talks about her turn-ons, her definition of sexy – all the things you’d expect her to talk about in Maxim, really.

Christina Aguilera, NBC Summer Press Tour
At 32, the singer and mother of one is at the height of her career.

"I'm such a down-to-earth girl, I'm comfortable in just a jersey and boy's underwear. Trying too hard to be sexy is the worst thing you can do. Sexiness should be effortless," she says at one point. Then again, that photoshoot probably required several stylists, hairdressers, makeup and lighting experts, so pardon us if we take that comment with a big pinch of salt.

Accompanying the tasteful pictures was an interview in which Aguilera discussed how she'd define sexy, what turns her on and who she'd prefer Justin Timberlake or Ryan Gosling.

Christina Aguileara Breaks (Sort Of) Hiatus With A Performance On The Voice Finale

Christina Aguilera Pitbull

Ok, The Voice finale happened last night (June 18), there were winners and there were losers, etc, but can we pause for a second to talk about Christina Aguilera and her whole performance? Now, if we’re being honest, Christina Aguilera hasn’t really been around that much since about 2010. Remember when she used to sing about her Candyman’s sweet, sweet love and the deep misery of her heart in skimpy, sequined outfits? Those were the days.

But Ms Aguilera’s stock might still be on the rise, as she so clearly demonstrated with her latest appearance on the reality format. Christina and The Voice go way back, but this time she returned in a whole new light. She sang her single 'Feel This Moment' alongside eternal collaborator to pretty much anyone, Pitbull and ok, 'Feel This Moment' is a remix of a much older tune and a collaboration with Pitbull is often the final refuge of the fading celebrity, but Christina certainly showed that she still has the singing chops needed for the job.

The energy of that performance was pretty impressive – we don’t know what Adam Levine and co. had to say about it, but they probably approved. All in all, it looks like all Aguilera needs are a few good songwriters and a quality producer and her fortunes may just change. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Christina was great, the performance was solid and she looked stunning in that outfit. At this point, that might be all Aguilera fans can hope for.

Christina Aguilera Set For Sensational NBC Return On 'The Voice'

Christina Aguilera

While its rival American Idol has been floundering, NBC’s The Voice has been a triumph with TV critics and audiences alike as it plunders through its fourth season; however even with the show in its currently successful format, there are changes afoot – and they’re changes that will look to the show’s past! It’s been reported by Deadline that Christina Aguilera will return to the show as a coach, coming back to the role which she pulled off with aplomb in the first three seasons of the show.

Aguilera only left the first time round so that she could promote her latest album Lotus, and now that that’s out the way she’s ready to come back, with Shakira set to exit after just one series with the show, not that we suppose that she’ll mind too much, given that she recently gave birth to her first child. That might not be the only change in the shake-up either.

Cee-Lo Green is also rumored to be making a return to the judging panel. The larger than life soul singer also took a sabbatical to concentrate on his music after season three, but could now also be returning. Usher had joined Shakira in coaching alongside Blake Shelton and Adam Levine for this season but Cee-Lo’s come back could pave the way for him to leave. Producer Mark Burnett has said in the past: “Everybody can’t coach for life because when you have people with current recording in the game, this is not their job. Their job is their fans and making music and being live, and so we knew from the beginning that this would happen, and we’ve had six coaches. They all have another life and their schedules.”

Is Christina Aguilera Returning To The Voice?

Christina Aguilera

There could be another shake up on NBC’s The Voice come the end of the current season, with Christina Aguilera apparently all but confirmed to return the show. Whose place will she be taking? Shakira, the pair reversing the roles they switched when Aguilera left after appearing on the first three seasons of the hit reality singing contest.

There was no acrimonious split between Aguilera and The Voice, with the star only leaving so that she could promote her latest album Lotus, which came out last November. With promotional duties now pretty much done for that, the star can now come back to The Voice judging table and resume duties. Which is probably just as well because Shakira gave birth to her and Gerard Pique’s first child together in January of this year and could do with the time off to help raise him.

There could be another returnee to the show too, according to Deadline, with Cee-Lo Green also rumored to be making a return to the judges panel. Green also took a sabbatical to concentrate on his music after season three, but is now apparently in the frame for a return. In the pair’s absence Usher had joined Shakira in coaching alongside Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.

This Year's Kids Choice Awards Dished Out More Slime Than Statuettes

Kristen Stewart Johnny Depp Josh Duhamel Christina Aguilera Pitbull Neil Patrick Harris Sandra Bullock

The Kids Choice Awards happened last night and they came with a whole lot of the traditional sliming.

Whether you go home with one of the blimp-shaped trophies or not, everyone’s a winner at the KCA, as long as they manage to avoid the sliming – which most of the A-list attendees didn’t do, as you might imagine. The first person to get a face full of the green goop was none other than rapper Pitbull himself, after he and Christina Aguilera opened the show with their song “Feel This Moment” along with a gang of mini-Me backup dancers. The performance went without a hitch, if you don’t count Aguilera sneakily sliming her co-star at the end of the show.

Johnny Depp and Kristen Stewart were among those honoured with an award – for favorite movie actor and favorite movie actress/female butt-kicker respectively. Remarkably, both of them managed a narrow escape from the sliming (well, almost). When accepting her award, Kristen commented: "Dude, I was too much of a coward to accept this," she exclaimed from the stage at the University of Southern California's Galen Center.

Kids Inaugural - Light On Politics, Heavy On Pop Thanks To Katy Perry, Usher And Glee

Katy Perry Usher Barack Obama Michelle Obama Christina Aguilera Amy Winehouse

On Saturday (January 19, 2013), 5,000 American kids were treated to a pop spectacle at the Kids Inauguration, at the Walter E Washington Convention Center but will it have any impact on those kids’ future political tendencies? Asides from Usher asserting “the youth matters!” during his aerobically-challenging, dance-heavy performance, the message of the evening seemed to be none more challenging than ‘let’s have fun and celebrate!’

The 5,000 strong crowd, Washington Post reports, was made up primarily of military families, public school kids from DC and a ton of “media folk.” As well as, of course, Sasha and Malia Obama, representing their mom and dad, the First Lady, Michelle Obama and of course President Barack Obama, celebrating the official start to his second term in office yesterday (January 21, 2013). But the evening was low on politics and heavy on pop, with Katy Perry putting in a star turn, in a sparkling, star-spangled onesie and sharing some of her greatest hits for the gathered throng, singing ‘Teenage Dream’ and ‘Firework’ “with gusto.”

The cast of Glee were also on hand with the lightweight entertainment, performing ‘Valerie’ (made famous by Amy Winehouse) and ‘Beautiful’ by Christina Aguilera. Meanwhile, the California boy band Mindless Behaviour might not have the kind of name that you think would get the White House seal of approval but their highly physical performance got the thumbs up from the Obamas, nonetheless.

Newly Single Taylor Swift Shines At People's Choice Awards

Taylor Swift Jennifer Lawrence Nicki Minaj Katy Perry Christina Aguilera Alicia Keys Olivia Munn Harry Styles

The 2013 People’s Choice Awards Ceremony took place in Los Angeles earlier this week, and the numerous categories of awards held few surprises this year.

As expected, one of the big winners of the night was The Hunger Games franchise, winning across the board, in categories like Action Movie, Movie Franchise and winning lead actress Jennifer Lawrence the statuette in the category Face of Heroism - an odd category for any award show to have, but we never object to Lawrence getting more screen time. Other big winners of the night included Nicki Minaj (for Hip Hop Artist), Katy Perry (for Female Artist and Pop Artist). The other stars of the show, even if they weren’t awarded anything, were definitely the performers – Christina Aguilera and Alicia Keys, to name a few – and last, but certainly not least, Taylor Swift’s cleavage.

The 23-year-old singer has been gracing headlines non-stop for a few months now, from her new album and new image to her relationship (and subsequent breakup) with One Direction singer Harry Styles. Taylor’s certainly had her ups and downs, but the People’s Choice awards definitely count as a success for her, as she not only managed to win the Country Artist award, but looked fabulous and displayed a pleasant sense of humor while doing it. She and host Olivia Munn referenced Swift’s 2009 MTV VMA debacle, during which Kanye West interrupted Swift mid award acceptance. That awkward moment is long forgotten now, however, and even with her complicated love life, Swift looks set for a lasting musical career.

On Her 32nd Birthday, Christina Aguilera Parties, Pant-less

Christina Aguilera Scarlett Johansson Mila Kunis

We know that people get forgetful as they get older but as she celebrated her 32nd birthday, it seemed that Christina Aguilera clean forgot to put her pants on. The Daily Mail have posted snaps of the raunchy popster looking decidedly festive and scantily-clad, as she celebrated at the afterparty for the end of The Voice. And she had plenty to celebrate, as it was her birthday too. We’re hoping that Christina at least had some knickers on under the t-shirt, though they weren’t exactly visible from the shots we’re looking at.

Aguilera has a history of venturing out in daring outfits and she didn’t disappoint on Tuesday night, that’s for sure. As she left the party after a night of celebrating, she was wearing a long black sequinned coat, black boots, fishnets, a glittery bib necklace and a ripped Mickey Mouse t-shirt (a sly reference to her Mickey Mouse club days?) and, er, not much else. Apart from a Santa’s hat. She held onto a friend’s hand for support as she left the party, looking ever so slightly worse for wear after the double celebration.

Christina had something else to celebrate, too. The man who hacked into her personal online accounts, as well as those of Scarlett Johansson and Mila Kunis, was sentenced to 10 years in jail this week. That’s still no reason to forget your pants though.

The Voice Finale Sees Blake Shelton Protege Cassadee Pope Win

Blake Shelton Christina Aguilera Cee-Lo Green

It’s been drawing solid ratings but The Voice has largely slipped under the radar news-wise this year; nevertheless, the show drew to a close on NBC last night (December 18, 2012) with Blake Shelton’s protégé Cassadee Pope taking the prize.

Pope won the show over Scottish-native Terry McDermott and the bearded wonder Nicholas David, reports CBS, with a two hour marathon finale deciding who would walk off as the winner. Pope was stunned to win, dissolving into tears and getting out a hasty list of thank yous: "I'm feeling amazing, thank you for everyone who voted for me and all the fans and Blake, the producers, wardrobe, Carson, the band, and Christina, everybody” she gushed.

Pope got to perform with one of her idols in Avril Lavigne, and the Canadian was one of several stars who made a turn at the show’s prestigious finale. Rihanna, Bruno Mars, The Killers, Smokey Robinson and Peter Frampton were among the others who made an appearance during the two hours. Though Pope is the winner of this series, she won’t have long to relish her crown, with the fourth season of the show beginning as soon as March 25, 2013; it’ll be all change on the voice coach panel too, with Usher and Shakira replacing Christina Aguilera and Cee-Lo Green.

Scarlett Johansson Phone Hacker Gets TEN Years: Who's Side Are You On?

Scarlett Johansson Mila Kunis Christina Aguilera

Christopher Chaney, the man who hacked into the phones and emails of numerous celebrities including Scarlett Johansson and Mila Kunis, has been sentenced to TEN years in prison. Some reports had suggested he was facing around SIXTY years, though the sentence passed down this week is still a lengthy one. The photographs of Johansson in particular spread like wildfire and were reposted on numerous websites as well as linked to from Facebook and Twitter.

Though Mr Chaney's actions were clearly perverted and reprehensible, many commentators in Europe and the UK were stunned by the 10 year sentence. Johansson openly wept in court and spoke of feeling "truly humiliated and embarrassed" by having "nude photographs go public," while other victims of Mr Chaney such as Mila Kunis and Christina Aguilera also condemned his actions. According to the BBC, gossip website Holy Moly was one of the first UK-based sites to post the images, under the headline, "Scarlett Johansson naked: Either wonderful Photoshop or a very similar lookalike." Its founder Jamie East did little to hide his views on the matter, saying, "It's a celebrity gossip website, if celebrities don't want naked pictures of themselves plastered all over the internet then either don't take them at all or don't have them on your mobile phone."

To put the 10 year sentence into context, Silvio Berlusconi recently had his four year prison sentence cut to just one year for tax evasion.

'Hollywood' Hacker Gets 10 Years In Jail, And It Could Have Been 121 Years

Scarlett Johansson Christina Aguilera Renee Olstead

Christopher Chaney has been sentenced to 10 years in jail after hacking the online accounts of Scarlett Johansson, Christina Aguilera amongst other women. He revealed intimate photos of these women online and sent them to relatives.

"I have been truly humiliated and embarrassed," Johansson said in a videotaped statement, according to the Associated Press. "I find Christopher Chaney's actions to be perverted and reprehensible." U.S. District Judge S. James Otero sentenced Christopher Chaney in Los Angeles. "It's hard to fathom the mindset of a person who would accomplish all of this," Otero said. "These types of crimes are as pernicious and serious as physical stalking." Chaney, who, if he had been convicted for everything he was accused for - hacking the accounts of 50 victims - could have seen jail time of up to 121 years."I don't know what else to say other than I'm sorry," Chaney said. "I could be sentenced to never use a computer again and I wouldn't care."

The effects of Chaney's actions were so profound on Renee Olstead, that the actress and singer considered committing suicide. "I just really hope this doesn't happen to someone else," she said, crying. "You can lose everything because of the actions of a stranger." Christina Aguilera - another of the high profile, but no more harrowing cases - said, "That feeling of security can never be given back and there is no compensation that can restore the feeling one has from such a large invasion of privacy."

Scarlett Johansson's Phone Hacker Facing 60 Years In Prison

Scarlett Johansson Christina Aguilera Mila Kunis

Christopher Chaney - the man convicted of hacking the email accounts of Scarlett Johansson and Christina Aguilera - is facing 60 years in prison. Both Hollywood stars, who knew Chaney, say their lives have been irreparably damaged by his actions with one now suffering from panic attacks and the other depressed and paranoid. Chaney sent nude photos they had taken of themselves to their family members, reports the Associated Press.

Chaney, 35, is due to be sentenced on Monday (December 17, 2012) and faces a huge stretch in prison after pleading guilty to nine felony counts including wiretapping and unauthorized access to a computer - felonies that the U.S. judicial system does not take kindly to. In statement, The Voice mentor Christina Aguilera said, "That feeling of security can never be given back and there is no compensation that can restore the feeling one has from such a large invasion of privacy." Prosecutors said Chaney illegally accessed the email accounts of more than 50 people, including Johansson, Aguilera and the actress Mila Kunis, between November 2010 and October 2011. Nude photographs of Johansson were meant for her then-husband Ryan Reynolds, though Chaney uploaded them to the internet.

Chaney managed to figure out his victims' email passwords and security questions and set a feature to forward a copy of ever email they received to his account. He was finally arrested in October 2011 as part of a year-long investigation into celebrity hacking dubbed 'Operation Hackerazzi'.

A Christina Aguilera afro was probably the second most impressive feat when the sing debuted her new single, "Make the World Move," on last night’s episode of The Voice.

The New York born singer with Hispanic roots nearly gave the live studio audience a glimpse of her unmentionables, while sporting a rather ridiculous dress. And not even a bright pink Afro wig could distract from her near spillage. On the subject of the talent show, The Voice, Christina had the following to say: "I'm such a lover of unique style and everyone is their own person. [I'm] supporting and appreciating that, so really there are no losers to me at all. How can you compare apples and oranges on certain levels?" Aguilera told Us. "They're all The Voice in their different ways and they'll keep fighting from here and I'm sure this, as I say, this is only the beginning."

Christina Aguilera's New Album 'Lotus': Well, It's Better Than 'Bionic'!

Christina Aguilera Cee-Lo Green Blake Shelton

Christina Aguilera has really taken her time with albums over the last ten years so it's a nice surprise that her seventh effort 'Lotus' comes only two years after her mediocre record 'Bionic' - which is just as well because there's only so many times you can listen to a record without a single stand out hit to note.

'Lotus' could prove to be different, however, with generally good reviews all round so far (at least compared with 'Bionic'). It was released last week on November 9th 2012 with 13 tracks though the 5-time Grammy winner has already released a deluxe version with four further tracks: 'Light Up the Sky', 'Empty Words', 'Shut Up' and a Martin Garrix remix of first single 'Your Body'; a track which has charted worldwide - it will never be a number one hit, but it is at least one of the most energised songs she has released in recent years.

The album, which was recorded at her home studio, includes collaborations with Cee Lo Green and country singer Blake Shelton (former co-judges on the US version of reality show 'The Voice') as well as input from several new producers such as Mike Del Rio, Jamie Hartman, Aeon Manahan, Chris Braide, Supa Dups and Jason Gilbert.

Out Now: US Album Releases – One Direction, Green Day, Christina Aguilera, Soundgarden

One Direction Taylor Swift Susan Boyle Christina Aguilera Soundgarden Green Day Billie Joe Armstrong

Still riding high at the top of the US Billboard chart, is Taylor Swift – everybody’s favourite country music princess turned pop star. Her album, Red, is currently enjoying its third week at the top of the US chart but there are some high profile releases coming out this week. We’ve profiled a few of them below but there are others to be considered too, such as Rolling Stones’ Greatest Hits anthology, GRRR! and Susan Boyle’s latest album, Standing Ovation.

Here’s our pick of the best US releases this week… our money’s on One Direction politely asking Taylor swift to leave that seat at the top of the Billboard chart, with their album Take Me Home. And hey, who could resist the charm of those young Brits, eh?

If anyone’s going to challenge Taylor this week, One Direction could well be the act to do it. Their debut album, Up All Night is already sitting respectably at number 23 in the Billboard albums chart and, with a recent appearance on the US X Factor show under their belts, they are surely destined for big things with their sophomore effort. They have already become one of the biggest success stories in chart history, in terms of UK imports. With their debut album, One Direction became the first British band in US chart history to top the Billboard 200 chart with a debut album. Their popularity has grown, even since then and they’re fast becoming one of the biggest bands on the planet. Their last single ‘Live While We’re Young’ was a number 3 hit and they’re our tip for the top this week.

Out Now - UK Album Releases, November 12, 2012 - One Direction, Rolling Stones, Christina Aguilera, Twilight Breaking Bad - Part 2

One Direction Rolling Stones Christina Aguilera Soundgarden Green Day Deftones

Robbie Williams might be sitting pretty at the top of the UK Album Charts after the weekend, but if said charts have taught us anything, it’s that time makes fools of us all, and we fully expect Mr. Williams – comparatively an elder statesman of the British pop world compared to this week’s leading contender – to fall by the wayside this coming weekend.

Who are these young bucks, Brylcreemed up and smelly freshly of Lynx ready take the crown that Robbie’s new LP told us so explicitly to watch? Why it’s One Direction of course, who’ve graduated to stardom Stateside too since the release of their first album Up All Night last year. The X Factor alumni bring out their follow-up Take Me Home this week, and you’d have to be one of Williams’ family to bet against the youngsters knocking auld Rob off his perch.

Maroon 5 Hold 'Gangnam Style' At Number Two For Eighth Week With 'One More Night'

Maroon 5 Psy Christina Aguilera Rihanna Calvin Harris Fun Taylor Swift

Maroon 5's new single 'One More Night' stays at number one in the charts for the eighth week running, kicking Psy's 'Gangnam Style' to number two.

The pop band have also beaten their own record by doubling their previous hit 'Moves Like Jagger' featuring Christina Aguilera which remained at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for just four weeks. South Korean rapper Psy, whose hilarious hit 'Gangnam Style' originally hit the charts at number one has dropped to number two for its seventh week. Last week, the points between the two songs were scarce at just 600, but more and more listeners seem to be enjoying 'One More Night' as this week 2,000 points separate the two tunes. It is also in its fifth week on top of the Radio Songs chart while Psy still stands at the top on the Digital Songs and On-Demand Songs charts. The last seven week run at number one was Rihanna with 'We Found Love' featuring Calvin Harris in November and December 2011.

At number three is Fun.'s 'Some Nights' while 'Diamonds' by Rihanna goes from number five to number four. Taylor Swift's 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' is now at number five having survived three weeks at number one on its release.

Bruce Springsteen Among The Stars Shining At Hurricane Sandy Benefit

Bruce Springsteen Jon Bon Jovi Billy Joel Mary J Blige Steven Tyler Christina Aguilera

The stars came out to raise money for the reconstruction of areas devastated by Hurricane Sandy last week, and fewer seemed more committed to the cause than Bruce Springsteen, a New Jersey native who saw his home neighbourhood devastated in the storms.

Springsteen was among a host of New Jersey locals including Jon Bon Jovi and the E Street Band, whilst Long Islander Billy Joel, Bronx native Mary J. Blige, Bostonian Steven Tyler and Staten Island’s Christina Aguilera also lent a hand for the hour long televised show titled ‘Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together’. It was Springsteen who took the day though, closing the showing and singing with closed eyes and gritted teeth. "God bless New York and God bless the Jersey Shore” he called out at the end of his short performance, with it looking like he’d could’ve gone on for many many more songs if the network had allowed him to.

Other highlights of the event saw Jon Bon Jovi perform a solemn, tributary ‘Prayer’ to his home town. Many of the performances were punctuated with video segments, and footage of the wreckage that came from the storm. It has to be said, though, that despite the undoubted cost of damages, the east coast of the US got off lightly compared to the Caribbean, where 69 people lost their lives.

Office Party! Christina Aguilera, The Roots & Jimmy Fallon's Unusual Performance Of 'Your Body'

Christina Aguilera The Roots Jimmy Fallon

Christina Aguilera and The Roots performed a pretty special version of her single ‘Your Body,’ along with Jimmy Fallon. The musical stars joined the chat show host in his office before appearing on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, using his office supplies as musical instruments. Somewhat surprisingly, Fallon proved to be a pretty impressive vocal talent, in no way outdone by The Roots or Aguilera.

Christina herself was in fine voice, and the video clip makes for pretty entertaining viewing. Dressed in a leather jacket and with pink dip-dyed hair, her powerful vocals sounded great over the unusual percussion provided by The Roots. The seven members of The Roots were crammed into the office, with Fallon and Aguilera and used items such as elastic bands, paper clips, scissors and coffee pots to bulk up the song.

On Friday night, Aguilera also performed at the Hurricane Sandy Tribute Concert, aired by NBC. Performing at the concert, she explained how she had grown up on Staten Island, which had been devastated by the hurricane. She went on to sing a moving rendition of ‘Beautiful,’ one of her biggest hits and a tale of finding inner strength in tough times. She was praised by the PopCrush blog for not trying to use the event to promote her new album, but just pouring her heart and soul into the performance and trying to offer hope to those in need.

Danny DeVito, Christina Aguilera And Jon Bon Jovi Among Superstars Who Show Support For Hurricane Sandy Benefit

America is still rocked by the devastating aftermath of hurricane Sandy, and the thought that 'never would a disaster like this happen to me' seemed to resonate on the faces at the Sandy Benefit Concert on Friday (Nov. 2).

The star power drawn in was impressive, with such entertainers as Bruce Springsteen, Danny Devito and Mary J Blige each pledging their time to the good cause.

Opening the night's proceedings was Staten Island-born Christina Aguilera, who kicked things off with a powerful and stripped down rendition of her song 'Beautiful'. Relying solely on her vocals, Xtina packed a heft punch that delivered all the way home. Next up to perform was New Jersey's Jon Bon Jovi who first gave a shout-out to his hometown of Sayerville, N.J., before re-appropriating his hair-rock hit 'Livin’ On A Prayer' to suit the sombre mood in the studio.

Stars Show Support For Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together Telethon

A Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together Telethon was held last night in the hopes of bringing relief to the millions affected when Hurricane Sandy ripped through the East Coast of America.

NBC aired a commercial-free telethon last night (Nov 2) live from storm-ravaged Staten Island, with Matt Lauer helming the celeb fest that urged viewers across America to pledge what they could and help the millions suffering from the storm.

Christina Aguilera got things started, entering a dark stage and delivering a powerful, stripped down version of ‘Beautiful.’ After the Staten Island native’s performance, a rolling montage of just some of the destruction was played, ending with a still of the once bustling Jersey Shore, after which Jersey native Jon Bon Jovi gave acoustic performances of ‘Who Says You Can’t Go Home’ and ‘Living on a Prayer’ with guitarist Bob Bandiera and Lorenza Ponce on the violin.

We Will Not Leave Anyone Behind: Christina Aguilera Supports Victims Of Hurricane Sandy

Christina Aguilera Aerosmith Bon Jovi Billy Joel Bruce Springsteen

Christina Aguilera opened the highly publicised charity telethon, "Hurricane Sandy: Come Together", in aid of the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy. It was a fitting role for the singer and 'The Voice' coach, as she was born and raised on Staten Island, which is one of the areas most affected by the enormous storm.

"I was born in Staten Island" she began, addressing the crowd. "We are here for you. We will do whatever we can to help. We will not leave any one of you behind, because every single one of you matters." She then broke into a heart wrenching rendition of 'Beautiful'. Other acts that followed included Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel and Aerosmith. "Today" hody Matt Lauer said that it was easy to get everyone on board, mostly requiring "one phone call".

CBS news reports some very generous commercial donations already pledged, including $1m from the CBS themselves, $2m from Disney, and a further $1m from News Corp. Celebrities all over the US are tweeting support for the telethon, particularly the Jersey Shore stars who found their own fame in New Jersey. Before taking to the stage, Christina left a tweet, saying "Sending my love and support to everyone on the east coast who's been affected. Thinking of u all. XoXtina"

Matt Lauer: We Need Springsteen And Bon Jovi, Pronto!

Bruce Springsteen Matt Lauer Christina Aguilera Jon Bon Jovi

Today show host Matt Lauer personally urged NBC Universal CEO Steve Burke to orchestrate a musical event for the victims of Hurricane Sandy, according to USA Today. Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together will air live from the Rockefeller Center on Friday (November 2, 2012), featuring performances from Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Jon Bon Jovi, Sting, Mary J Blige and Christina Aguilera.

New York and New Jersey were devastated by the storm and stars associated with both areas, including Kevin Bacon, Tiny Fey, James Gandolfini, Jon Stewart and Jimmy Fallon will also appear at the event, which aims to raise money for victims of the hurricane. Lauer said it was a tour of a neighbourhood in Rockaway Beach, Queens, that made him put his plans into action.  "I came back and said, 'We've got to do something quickly here," said Lauer says. "I feared facing a period next week where the focus would be blurred. We've got an election coming up, and I feared people affected by this would be pushed to the side." He then said that unlike many television rivals, NBC was "a very New York-centered media company" adding, "you can't live in New York without being struck by what a big thing this is." A post 9/11 telethon arranged by George Cloone, which aired on all of the major networks, raised at estimated $200 million. Friday's special will air on NBC as well as cable networks it owns including Bravo, E!, HBO, Syfy and Discovery Fit & Health.

As for the set-lists, Lauer said "the songs are going to be instantly recognizable."

Hurricane Sandy: The Boss To The Rescue!

Bruce Springsteen Christina Aguilera Billy Joel Sting Bon Jovi Matt Lauer Jimmy Fallon Brian Williams

Bruce Springsteen has been confirmed as one of the major US acts to play a benefit concert for the victims of Hurricane Sandy, which has blighted the East coast of the United States this week. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be joined by Christina Aguilera, Billy Joel, Sting and Bon Jovi for the televised special, which will air on Friday (November 2, 2012). It will be hosted by Matt Lauer (of the Today show) and the late night chat show host Jimmy Fallon will be making an appearance, as will NBC News’ Brian Williams.

The money collected from the event will be donated to the American Red Cross, who are organising relief efforts for those affected by the devastating storm, as well as other disasters. The Red Cross will provide food, shelter, emotional support and other services to those affected by Hurricane Sandy. After Hurricane Katrina, in 2005, a similar benefit concert raised around $50 million for the Red Cross.

The concert, named ‘Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together’ will air at 8pm EST on Friday, on ET on NBC, NBC.com, USA Network, SyFy, MSNBC, CNBC, Bravo, E!, Style Network, G4 and more.” However, a spokesperson for NBC Universal has told the New York Times that any channels not owned by NBC will not be able to air the concert.

Five Of The Worst: Beyonce For Super Bowl 2013; She'll Surely Be Better Than This Lot?

Beyonce Knowles Black Eyed Peas Madonna Mia Nicki Minaj Slash Justin Timberlake Janet Jackson Enrique Iglesias Christina Aguilera New Kids On The Block

So it is Beyonce's turn to lead out the fun and games at the famous Super Bowl half-time show. Quite frankly it's been a long time coming; one of the premiere pop stars of the past decade and more, the former Destiny's Child's star power has been calling out for her to get the spot at some point. However, let's not get ahead of ourselves and assume that just because she is who she is, she's going to deliver a stunning fifteen minutes. Plenty of big names have been known to fall; here are some of, what we reckon to be the worst half-time shows in Super Bowl history.

Madonna, M.I.A, Nicki Minaj, 2012

The fact that everyone was talking about M.I.A having the audacity to stick her finger up at television cameras tells you just how boring this half-time show actually was. A creaking Madonna did what she's ended up doing on most of her shows this year and sent her crowd into a stupor, with garish and brash visuals and costume not making up for an utter formulaic performance from the (former?) Queen of Pop. She should be thanking M.I.A for giving us a reason to remember it to be honest.

Christina Aguilera Reveals Label Pressure To Lose Weight

Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera’s weight was brought under intense scrutiny by her record label, the singer has revealed.

According to The Sun, record execs were extremely worried back in 2002, saying that the Stronger singer’s weight was out of control, and that her career would suffer should she not slim down. By 2006, she was at her lightest, but Aguilera has said ‘no more,’ and wants to be herself: “During the promotion of my album Stripped, I got tired of being a skinny, white girl. I am Ecuadorian but people felt so safe passing me off as a skinny, blue-eyed white girl,” she explained. “The next time my label saw me, I was heavier, darker and full of piercings! Let me tell you, that wasn't an easy pill for them to swallow. Aguilera, whilst famous for her powerful voice, is also renown for her feisty attitude, so perhaps record bosses should have known better than to try and pin her down. “I told them, ‘You are working with a fat girl. Know it now and get over it. They need a reminder sometimes that I don't belong to them. It's my body. My body can't put anyone in jeopardy of not making money anymore - my body is just not on the table that way anymore.” Good for her!

The story comes just after the 31-year-old released her aptly titled single, Your Body. Her upcoming album, Lotus, which, she told US Online, “represents a celebration of the new me,” will be out November 17, 2012.

'The Voice' Recap: Has Christina Struck Gold With The Returning Dez Duron?

Christina Aguilera Cee-Lo Green Adam Levine

The US season of The Voice powered on through another weekend with spots on the teams becoming harder to come by and more and more decent singers falling by the wayside as a result. With Christina Aguilera having recently announced that she won't be appearing on the coaching panel next year, and nor will Cee-Lo Green, it looks like she's now got a strong chance to make a winning exit after managing to nab a much-improved Dez Duron from the other coaches to put him in her team of 16.

Remember the name Dez Duron? If you were following The Voice last season you might do; he gave up college to audition for the NBC program last time out only suffer the indignity of having no coaches turned towards him. Ouch. Nevertheless, he's come on strong this year and sounded the part, whilst the judges were in no doubt about his physical prowess even before turning round, thanks to screams from more besotted members of the audience.

There was another potential contender for a final place too, according to Rolling Stone, with 17 year-old Brandon Mahone heading over to Maroon 5's Adam Levine after impressing with a soulful voice that had all four coaches putting in an offer for him. Another of Levine's picks, Michelle Brooks Thompson impressed as well. With the knockouts due to begin soon, the competition is sure hotting up.

'The Voice' Recap: 17 Year-Old Brandon Mahone Is Pick Of The Bunch

Christina Aguilera Blake Shelton Adam Levine Cee-Lo Green

It's getting tighter and tighter as we get to the last "blind" rounds of The Voice in the USA. With a lot of the spots now taken, there were some good performers finding it a struggle on the latest edition of the show, although in spite of that there was still good news for a couple of standouts during the course of the NBC show.

Among the most impressive was 17 year-old Brandon Mahone, as well as leading female contenders Michelle Brooks-Thompson and Terisa Griffin. Whilst these first timers impressed, their stories were eclipsed by 22 year-old Dez Duron; Duron had dropped out of college to audition in the season last year but didn't manage to turn a single coach's chair. It was a different story this time for Duron though, the delighted performer seeing Blake Shelton, Cee-Lo Green and Christina Aguilera battling for his attention. Ultimately he decided to join Team Christina.

As for the 17 year-old Mahone, it was Maroon 5's Adam Levine who proved most persuasive, telling the starlet after he'd belted out The Temptations' I Wish It Would Rain that "you seem to have studied what it is to be a performer from that era to the point where you felt like one of them ... it felt like you were just the next in line." They were words Mahone couldn't help but listen to and he'll be a threat as the weeks progress.

Major Shake Up Revealed With Christina Aguilera Leaving 'The Voice'

Christina Aguilera Cee-Lo Green Shakira Usher Adam Levine Blake Shelton

We're only one week into the third season NBC's The Voice, but the network is already announcing changes and they involve the departure of Christina Aguilera, as well as fellow original judge Cee-Lo Green. This season will be the last that's seen of the pair, as there is a new Aguilera album, Lotus to promote and tour, whilst Green is taking time off to work on new music and a scripted comedy about his life.

In their place? None other than Colombian singing sensation Shakira and general R'n'B superstar Usher. Not bad, as replacements go. "We are thrilled to welcome Usher and Shakira to The Voice, " Robert Greenblatt, the chairman of NBC Entertainment, said in a statement reported by The Clicker. "The addition of these popular iconic artists continues the tradition established by Christina, Cee Lo, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. Doing two back-to-back cycles of this show requires a tremendous amount of time, and we are happy to accommodate the commitments made by Christina and Cee Lo."

Those disappointed at the news need not fear, though. Both have indicated that they will be returning to the show once they've finished with their other projects. "By pursuing my first passion of music during the break, I am also able to come back and offer even more to my team on 'The Voice' in the future," Aguilera said in a statement, whilst Green commented "Thank you, NBC, for supporting my decision to take this season four hiatus! I will return for season five and will be watching season four."

Burlesque Review

Very Good
It's difficult to imagine a more outrageously camp movie than this glittery romp, and fortunately there's a sense that the cast and crew understand this.

By never taking their ludicrous plot seriously, they've made a true guilty pleasure.

Fed up with dead-end Iowa, Ali (Aguilera) heads for Hollywood. Despite having no experience or training, she's sure she can make it as a singer-dancer. After a series of rejections, she stumbles upon the Burlesque Lounge on Sunset, run by jaded diva Tess (Cher) with the help of her long-suffering buddy Sean (Tucci). Ali charms sexy barman Jack (Gigandet) into a barmaid job, while keeping her sights on the stage. And she's also wooed by Marcus (Dane), a developer who's trying to buy the financially strapped club.

Shine A Light Review

Weak
Gimme Shelter this is not. The disillusions and stabbings of the 1969 concert have been replaced by the Clinton Foundation's benefit for the Natural Resource Defense Council and snapping camera phones. But Shine a Light is helmed by Martin Scorsese -- the man behind Goodfellas and Raging Bull -- shouldn't it push the boundaries set by Charlotte Zwerin and the Maysles brothers nearly 40 years ago? It should, but Scorsese has always had a cinematic hard-on for the Rolling Stones, and the result is a personal, biased love letter to the Stones signed with love by Marty.

When the Stones take the stage at New York City's Beacon Theater, it's frightening -- their age truly shows on film. As giants on the silver screen, we have a front row seat for an exhibition of frail bodies moving in ways that only young men should move. As Mick Jagger belts out songs of youthful rebellion and sexual frustration, he still does the same androgynous dances of yesteryear. Yet, this off-putting display of aged youth is clearly a place of sentiment for Scorsese, whose camera lingers with love.

Are Christina Aguilera And Britney Spears Feuding?

Christina Aguilera Britney Spears Kevin Federline

Music feuds can become one of the most interesting parts of the industry, although sometimes, they can be more than just a little bit harsh and/or nasty. Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears have been pop-rivals for a while now, and with the upcoming birth of Spear's baby, Aguilera has taken the opportunity to slam any hopes of a musical comeback. Mainly because she believes that Spears "let herself go", and will no longer manage her 'sex-symbol' status.

Britney Spears' most recent album, 'In the Zone' was released on 18th November 2003.
Britney Spears' most recent album, 'In the Zone' was released on 18th November 2003.

Aguilera has expressed horror at the deterioration in Spears' appearance, in part due to her announcement that she's expecting her husband Kevin Federline's child, given in early 2005. Aguilera appears to have expressed hope that Spears will take to motherhood well and enjoy it, as she does not believe that a comeback would be worth the effort. Aguilera explained, without mixing words: "She's let herself go. I can't see a comeback on the cards."
