Chrissy Teigen has given a new interview about her experience of motherhood so far, having given birth to her first daughter just over a month ago, saying she’s enjoying every moment but describing her baby as a “milk monster”.

Teigen welcomed her baby girl, Luna Simone Stephens, with her husband John Legend on April 14th, and she spoke to Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday (May 17th). The 30 year old Sports Illustrated swimsuit model said that breastfeeding was proving to be the toughest challenge so far, although it is a “loving and sweet” experience.

“If you kind of do the math, you're kind of breastfeeding for 10 hours a day, total. They just use you for your milk, and you just feel like you are just a cow all day,” she joked. “It's hard to work your entire day around getting her all the nourishment she needs, because they are just little animals.”

At five weeks old, Luna is now beginning to interact with the world around her, and Teigen remarked about the milestones she’s passing. “Her eyes have uncrossed a little bit and, she's, like, now, rather than looking right through you, she looks at you, which is really nice… …but it's the little smiles that get you.”

She also spoke about her 37 year old husband, whom she memorably described as a ‘DILF’ in an Instagram post on Monday this week, and had plenty of words of praise as to how he approached being a dad.

“He's always been so calm and very collected,” she said. “He dances around with her and he sings to her.”

In a separate interview with People on Wednesday, she spoke about how she’s dealing with unwarranted comments on social media about her post-birth physique.

“I think some people actually get really weirded out if you do bounce back too quickly because you really should be at home with this little thing and taking care of her and not [be] so concerned… But you’ll never have the right answer and you’ll never be right to everybody, so you just live and do what you can do best.”
