Charlie Sheen 'Gave' Woody Harrelson His Career

Charlie Sheen Woody Harrelson Ashton Kutcher Chuck Lorre

Never one for shying away from controversy, Charlie Sheen gave a bizarre interview to an Australian radio station this morning, where he took credit for Woody Harrelson’s entire career and called out Chuck Lorre, again.

But perhaps more surprisingly, Sheen had some kind words for Ashton Kutcher, the actor who replaced him after he was fired from sitcom ‘Two And a Half Men’.

Melissa McCarthy Billy Gardell Chuck Lorre

Melissa McCarthy has reacted with shock and sadness at the apparent news that her role as Molly Flynn in ‘Mike & Molly’ will be coming to an end at the end of its current season.

The 45 year old actress, also a star of Bridesmaids, Spy and Tammy and due to feature in the rebooted Ghostbusters, took to Twitter late on Monday (December 14th) seemingly to confirm that the CBS sitcom was being cancelled.

“I was shocked and heartbroken when @CBS canceled #MikeAndMolly. I would have shot this show for 50 more years. I'll miss my 2nd family,” she wrote. Fellow cast members Katy Mixon and Reno Wilson quickly re-tweeted her post.

Angus T. Jones Wants You To Know That He Still Regrets 'Two And A Half Men'

Angus T. Jones Chuck Lorre

Angus T Jones really, really wants you to know that he regrets his work on Two and a Half Men. About a year ago, Jones first spoke out about it in an online video. He was then relegated to a recurring character on Men, but is yet to actually appear in any episodes. Now, the former child star might have gotten himself into even deeper trouble with the show’s production team, speaking about the clash between his values and those displayed on the show.

Angus T. Jones, Power of Youth
Let's take a look back to a younger, less bearded Jones.

"It was difficult for me to be on the show and be part of something that was making light of topics in our world where there are really problems for a lot of people," Jones said in an interview with Houston CBS affiliate KHOU. "I was a paid hypocrite because I wasn't OK with it and I was still doing it."

CBS Can't Get Enough Of The Big Bang Theory - 3 More Seasons Please

Jim Parsons Chuck Lorre Johnny Galecki

The Big Bang Theory, which debuted back in 2007 and has been an exponentially rising in popularity ever since, will be on TV screens for another 3 seasons following CBS’s order. This will take the sitcom into double figures with a total of 10 series – can it go even further?

Big Bang TheorySheldon and Howard work things out in the season 7 finale

If these stats continue, there’s no reason why not; The Big Bang Theory is currently averaging 19.79 million viewers with a 6.1 rating in adults 18-49, and a 7.8 in adults 25-54. Any performances akin to that in the 8th, 9th or 10th season, then you can expect to see 11 and 12.

The Big Bang Theory Will Hit The Magic 10 As CBS Orders 3 More Seasons

Jim Parsons Kaley Cuoco Johnny Galecki Chuck Lorre

For a show to get a pilot is amazing. For it to get picked up, that’s a stunning achievement. A second season is what dreams are made of for writers and actors alike. But to go 10 seasons is utopia. That’s exactly what “The Big Bang Theory” – which started back in 2007 (can you believe it?) – has done as CBS order a further three seasons.

The Big Bang TheoryThe Big Bang Theory Is Back For Three More Seasons

The pantheon of 10-season + sitcoms includes big hitters like “Friends” and “Frasier” and “Two And a Half Men” – all behemoths of the small screen, and Sheldon, Leonard, Howard, Rajesh and Penny are set to join those illustrious ranks, and have made millions along the way.

Big Bang Theory Finalale Ends Season 6 In Underwhelming Style: The Bon Voyage Reaction Recap

Jim Parsons Kaley Cuoco Mayim Bialik Chuck Lorre Johnny Galecki Kunal Nayyar Simon Helberg Melissa Rauch

Thursday (May 16) night's episode of the Big Bang Theory ushered out the latest series of the sitcom in thoroughly underwhelming fashion, ending the sixth season of the show in the same kind of style that has existed throughout the show's current run.

This series ended, as the show so often does when it comes to wrapping up a series, with question marks hovering above Penny and Leonard's relationship. Leonard had been given the opportunity of a lifetime to work with with Stephen Hawking, unfortunately this will mean he has to spend four months on a boat in the middle of the North Sea. As Sheldon noted, Leonard and Penny have never been better and four months apart may change things for the worse. Then again Sheldon doesn't like to be alone, does he, so he would come up with a dilema to potentially keep his roommate and best friend in Pasadena.

Still, this was a valid point by Sheldon, but by the end of the episode Leonard and Penny seemed to have come to an agreement without Sheldon's help. Penny promises Leonard that regardless of the time spent apart their relationship won't suffer, sending him off with a heartfelt "I love you" and a kiss goodbye.

What Were Bob Newhart's Two Conditions For Joining 'The Big Bang Theory'?

Bob Newhart Chuck Lorre CBS Jim Parsons

Comedy legend Bob Newhart makes his debut on The Big Bang Theory on Thursday (May 2, 2013) with a role that has been a long-time coming for both Newhart and producer Chuck Lorre. The co-creator of the CBS show has been constantly hounding the six-time Emmy nominee for roles on his shows, and Newhart finally agreed on 'Big Bang' - on two conditions.

"I had only two things that were paramount: No. 1, my scenes had to be taped live. There's a tendency to pre-tape a lot of stuff and put a laugh track on it and you lose something," he told the Hollywood Reporter, "No. 2, I wanted it to be a semi-recurring role. He was fine with both and later called me with the story of Professor Proton." Newhart's character is an influential man from Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) childhood.

The Big Bang Theory's ratings continue to grow - something rare in the U.S. television world - but Newhart thinks he knows why the show's reruns are beating top show such as American Idol. "It's beautifully cast, has great writing and it's intelligent," he said, "There was a longing for something intelligent -- to credit the audience being intelligent. It doesn't talk down to the audience at all.

Big Bang Theory: Four Years Celebrated At PaleyFest 2013!

Jim Parsons Simon Helberg Chuck Lorre

The last time the cast of The Big Bang Theory appeared at PaleyFest, some four years ago, their sitcom wasn't considered among the Top 40 rated shows in the United States. Now, the Cecil Thomson starring show has the most viewers in the coveted 18-49 age range and was the second most watched show last week, with over 20 million viewers.

Reruns of the show have been difficult to avoid, which explains the big figures, though the show is still considered one of the most popular in the United States. "You're kind of forced to watch the show now," joked actor Simon Helberg during the show's PaleyFest celebrations this week, "We're shoving it down people's throats, and then they're learning that they love that." It appears to be a theme of Chuck Lorre's shows - when a new episode isn't showing, you can bet a rerun won't be far away on the schedule. The Big Bang Theory follows two roommates, physcists Leonard (played by Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) as well as their friends and colleagues, played by the likes of Helberg and Kunal Nayyar. "There's something impossible to fathom about viewers and numbers and things like that," Parsons explained. "I can barely picture 20 people in one room. If you want to say 17 or 18 million, well you've lost me."

Despite celebrating four years at the top, the Big Bang cast were careful to give away any major plot developments, though did explain that Thursday night's episode includes the discovery of a letter from Howard's long-lost father. As for eventually wrapping up the sitcom, Helberg had a couple of ideas, "Well I think (Howard's) pants will probably be as skinny and probably a bit tighter. I think that Sheldon will probably still be sitting in his spot. It may be in a different apartment. I think he'll sit in that spot until he's in a home. Howard and Bernadette probably will ... God, God help them if they have children. We know she hates them and we know that Howard, essentially, is a child. So I wish them luck."

Will Angus T Jones Return To Two And A Half Men?

Angus T. Jones Chuck Lorre Jon Cryer Ashton Kutcher

Season 11 of Two and a Half Men looks ready to be commissioned, but will all three of the main cast members be returning? Maybe not, as Angus T Jones' days look numbered on the hit show.

Last year's infamous rant by Jones is still on the minds of the powers that be at CBS, when he accused the show of being nothing more than "filth." This may end up costing Jones his place on the show, which, "filthy" or not, has provided him with a very nice bit of income over the past few years.

CBS boss Nina Tassler has told press that the channel is looking to extend the show for at least one more season, saying: "We have told Warner Bros. we'd like to have an eleventh season and they're equally interested."

Angus T. Jones To Leave 'Two And A Half Men': Is The Show Doomed?

Angus T. Jones Charlie Sheen Chuck Lorre Ashton Kutcher Jon Cryer

Angus T. Jones has somehow talked himself out of a 350k per episode television job. As we reported earlier this week, the Two and a Half Men star taped a video for the Forerunner Christian Church, calling America's most popular sitcom "filth" and urging viewers to stop tuning in. He made a hastily prepared statement half-apologizing for the remarks, though there appeared to be a clear lack of contrition.

We speculated on the whether or not the show could continue with Angus T. Jones still on-board, and it seems as though he and production bosses have made a decision. A source close to the show has confirmed to E! News that Jones plans to complete filming the current season and will most likely not return should CBS order another season (something almost nailed on given the recent acquisition of Ashton Kutcher). It looks as though creator Chuck Lorre is planning to phase out Angus from the plotline and it actually ties in well with the star's current status on the show (he enlisted in the army at the end of season nine). The insider said, "He won't be in every episode. How much they use him will be up to [creator] Chuck Lorre. The intention wasn't ever for him to be in every ep this year anyway. Now it might be less." Jones, Kutcher and Emmy winner Jon Cryer all have contracts through the end of this season though Warner probably intended to sign all three stars up again once CBS picked up the show for season eleven. Should it be renewed, it's "unlikely" Jones were return as a series regular. "You might see him for a few guest spots," said the source.

It would be a pretty sad end for Angus T. Jones, given that he's been a mainstay on the show since the Charlie Sheen days. His old pal reacted to the controversy this week, calling his former employer "cursed". No surprises there then.

Chuck Lorre Blamed For Bizarre Angus T. Jones Testimony

Charlie Sheen Angus T. Jones Chuck Lorre

Charlie Sheen notoriously had a pretty difficult time a couple of years ago which eventually lead to being sacked from Two and a Half Men, on which he played a character also named Charlie. Now, another star of the show, Angus T. Jones, who plays Charlie's nephew, is also going through a tough time, which has come to a head in a mass of criticism after his testimony for the Forerunner Chronicles was released online. The video included him describing the show as 'filth' and has resulted in many people thinking he's having some kind of meltdown.

Sheen is one of the people both standing up for Jones, but also acknowledging that he's not exactly in his right mind right now. Speaking to TMZ, he said, "Obviously, not having been there for some time, the Angus T. Jones that I knew and still love is not the same guy I saw on YouTube yesterday." Adding, "I dare anyone to spend ten years in the laugh-track that is Chuck Lorre's hive of oppression and not suffer some form of an emotional tsunami."

In a statement, also released to TMZ, Jones made something of an apology, saying: "I am grateful to and have the highest regard and respect for all of the wonderful people on Two and Half Men with whom I have worked and over the past ten years who have become an extension of my family."

Can Chuck Lorre Still Trust Angus T. Jones?

Angus T. Jones Charlie Sheen Chuck Lorre

Angus T. Jones has apologized for his bizarre attack on employer CBS and show Two and a Half Men, though failed to give assurances on his future on America's most popular sitcom. As was reported on Tuesday (November 27, 2012), Angus made a video for the Forerunner Christian Church in which he labelled Men as "filth" and urged viewers to "stop watching it." The video went viral, while Charlie Sheen told People magazine, "With Angus's Hale-Bopp-like meltdown, it is radically clear to me that the show is cursed."

Cursed or not, Angus had some explaining to do if he wanted to keep his 350k per episode job. Yep, that's 350k. He offered a statement - via Insignia PR - to Deadline.com, expressing his gratitude to show creator Chuck Lorre and apologizing, "if my remarks reflect me showing indifference to and disrespect of my colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed."

The full statement reads,

Angus T. Jones Calls Two And A Half Men "Filth", Urges Fans To Stop Watching (Video)

Angus T. Jones Charlie Sheen Chuck Lorre Jon Cryer

Angus T. Jones, the young actor who starred alongside Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men and who now shares the screen with his replacement Ashton Kutcher, has pleaded with viewers to stop watching the CBS comedy, dubbing it "filth." As you may have surmised, Jones' outburst has religious ties and he was speaking with Christian Group the Forerunner Chronicles at the time.

"If you watch Two and a Half Men, please stop watching Two and a Half Men. I'm on Two and a Half Men and I don't want to be on it. Please stop watching it and filling your head with filth," explained the 19-year-old. There wasn't even a hint of Jones conceding to the fact that it's his job and that people should remember he is not Jake. He firmly asserted, "People say it's just entertainment. Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you'll have a decision to make when it comes to television, especially with what you watch." There was more to come.

Jones continued by intimidating the show is part of the plan of "the enemy", saying, "I don't want to be contributing to the enemy's plan... You cannot be a true God-fearing person and be on a television show like that. I know I can't. I'm not OK with what I'm learning, what the Bible says and being on that television show." The actor earns around $350,000 per episode for Two and a Half Men, receiving a huge salary bump in May alongside co-stars Jon Cryer and Ashton Kutcher.
