Possibly the only major festival where you can enjoy fine gourmet cuisine while rocking out to an eclectic variety of international artists, Outside Lands has now unveiled the 2014 line-up as it prepares to return to San Francisco this August.

We just can't express our excitement enough at the newly revealed line-up for Outside Lands this year. Topping the bill are the likes of Kanye West, The Killers and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers; three very different artists which see the latter become the first act ever to headline twice following their incredible set in 2013. Now in its seventh year, Outside Lands are showing signs of development every single summer, and at much benefit for the city with a percentage of every ticket sale going to San Francisco's Recreation and Park Department.

The St. Jerome's Laneway Festival 2013 made its US debut as it hit Detroit over the weekend, bringing a hell of a lot of fun Sunday, September 15th 2013.

Musical celebrations kicked off marvellously with 7,500 in attendance. Among the definite highlights were early performers CHVRCHES, Frightened Rabbit and Deerhunter; Icona Pop also drew a massive crowd with a wonderful set of catchy tunes from their 'This Is . Icona Pop' album - number one hit 'I Love It' went down a storm! Up-and-coming Aussie musician Flume brought some life to the Meadow Stage, while Sigur Ros held the rapt attention of their main stage crowd. Co-founder Rogers was more than pleased with the turn-out. 'Our first venture into North America could not have gone better', he said. 'We were always confident that the people of Detroit would embrace this event. Not only did they come out in droves to see their fave bands but local artists, designers, painters and chefs turned on the hospitality of the region and all demonstrated why the city is on the brink of a major revival.'

Field Day 2013 - Preview

With Field Day 2013 less than two weeks away, now seems like a good time to look at the 5 must-see bands of the festival.

Field Day 2013 - Preview

After the success of the festival last year it was difficult to see how it could possibly be improved. As the line up announcements filtered through from Field Day HQ, it became clear just how special this year is going to be. A quite astonishing array of artists all playing in one field, on one day - what could possibly go wrong? Clashes, of course. The chances of you catching every artist you intended on seeing are slim, so here are the 5 must-see acts this year.

Savages
Arguably the most exciting band of 2013. Renowned for their extraordinary live performances, as demonstrated on Jools Holland a few months ago, Savages are one band you will not want to miss this summer. With their debut album having come out a few weeks ago, now's the time to catch them live. It will be an "I was there" moment.

Daft Punk Get Lucky

A Week in Videos... Undoubtedly the most eagerly-anticipated video of the week comes from Daft Punk, who return to the scene with ‘Get Lucky.’ Featuring Pharrell on vocals and the legend that is Nile Rogers on guitar, the track has already broken daily play records on Spotify and quickly became one of the most talked-about tracks online. A classic in the making, Roger’s distinctive guitar sound lends the track an authentic disco edge.

Heavy on the expletives, low on production costs, this Frank Turner video for ‘Plain Sailing Weather’ sees the angry troubadour continuing the confessional vibes of his last single ‘Recovery.’ Playing with his band in a church, the track begins with Frank playing alone, with his guitar, before the band kick in with him for the chorus.
