The singer-turned-TV presenter passed away at her home in Spain earlier this month (Aug15) at the age of 72, and a hearing to officially determine how she died was due to take place in her native Liverpool, England.

However, an hour before the case was set to open, officials were informed Black's body was still in transit on its way to the city, so the inquest was postponed.

British law states that for an inquest to take place, the corpse must be in the same city as the court so it can be considered the 'property' of the coroner.

The hearing is now scheduled to take place on Friday (14Aug15).
