The footballing couple have a second son, Klay Anthony. Congratulations guys!
Footballer Wayne Rooney and his wife Coleen have welcomed their second child into the world, with their newest son being born in the early hours of Tuesday (May 21) morning. The couple have already settled on a name for the new arrival too; Klay Anthony.
The news was broke by Coleen herself, who eagerly tweeted the good new shortly after giving birth. Coleen posted on her Twitter account at around 3 am GMT; ''At 2.11am our Beautiful Son .... Klay Anthony Rooney entered the world. He weighed 7Ib 11.1/2 oz We're all so happy and doing well. X"
The newborn, a brother for three-year-old Kai, arrived past it's due date (as Coleen revealed over the weekend) by a few days, but was born completely healthy. The WAG is believed to have been taken to hospital on Saturday night, after into labour at her Cheshire home. That's right, Coleen Rooney and her footballer husband Wayne Rooney are having another boy. The couple revealed that Coleen was pregnant in October, and she broke the news via Twitter in a tweet directed to her hubby saying " Absolutely loved seeing our baby on the scan yesterday!!! We decided to find out the sex...... It's a ..... BOY!! So exciting @WayneRooney". Fans from all over the country have been congratulating the couple for their wonderful news.
As the Mirror reports however, this means that 26 year old Coleen will be the only girl in a house full of boys. Once this was mentioned to her she responded: "I know god help me ha." She and Wayne already have one son named Kai who has just turned 3. "He wanted a boy!!" she said, and apparently wanted to name his new little brother 'Hatter', after the Madhatter, from Alice in Wonderland.
Although he didn't respond directly to his wife, Rooney opted for a different family activity by revealing a video, wittily named 'Elfyourself' of himself, son and wife dressed as elves, dancing, on Facebook. The baby boy is due in May and probably not looking forward to appearing in any more Rooney Christmas traditions such as this:

Wayne Rooney has swapped his Man United kit for an elf costume in a Christmas video he has doctored for his fans online.
The footie star applied photos of his, his 3-year-old son Kai, and his wife Coleen's faces on the heads of three elves doing a street dance to a hip hop rendition of Tchaikovsky's 'Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy' on the exceedingly popular app Elf Yourself. The 27-year-old striker shared the video on his Facebook page to an appreciative response and 6,000 likes within an hour. It's nice to see the football player in such a good mood, despite being too busy to see much of his family over Christmas what with training for two big matches close to the day taking up all of his free time. Although, he and Coleen have just revealed that they are expecting a baby boy sometime in May 2013 so that's got to be something keeping his spirits up at the moment.
One Rooney fan commented on the joke video saying, 'Wicked, you look awesome as an Elf Wazza!! Happy Xmas to you and your family xx' while another insisted he 'do the same dance for [his] next goal on Sunday.'
Coleen Rooney has announced that she's expecting her second baby boy. She and husband Wayne announced that they were having another child in October, and now it's been revealed that young Kai will soon be joined by a baby brother.
Speaking on Twitter, Coleen wrote, "Absolutely loved seeing our baby on the scan yesterday!!! We decided to find out the sex...... It's a ..... BOY!! So exciting @WayneRooney." The 26 year-old is apparently set on giving birth at the NHS Liverpool Women's Hospital, where she welcomed Kai around three years ago. A source told The Sun newspaper, "Coleen's birthing experience with Kai was plain sailing and she absolutely loved the staff. She is in a fortunate position where she could afford to have five-star treatment in a private hospital. But there was never any question in her mind about where she would return to have a little brother or sister for Kai."
Following the birth of their first child, bookmakers Coral offered 66/1 on Wayne and Coleen's son playing for England, while William Hill quoted 100/1 for him to play Premier League football..

Shoot your wife for cancer? It may seem a bit extreme, but Dawn Porter and her husband Chris O'Dowd from the IT Crowd, are making the ultimate sacrifice in the name of a good cause. That's right Chris O'Dowd will shoot his wife for the cause... with a paint pellet. If Dowd shoots his wife, Stand Up To Cancer will get a massive £10,000!
The entire affair is an extravagantly star studded event, and celebs have done a whole host of things to support it from pulling the trigger on their better halves, to donating a pair of shoes for the public to wear. The Telegraph reported on Tuesday (Oct 16th) that the public could try on the shoes of "Gwyneth Paltrow, Davina McCall, Twiggy, Sir Chris Hoy, Coleen Rooney and Dame Maggie Smith" in Leicester Square for one day only, before being sold in a silent auction that ends on Friday.
Plus, Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon in The Big Bang Theory has jumped on board to lend his support, by giving an earnest plug before every showing on Channel 4 and its sister channel E4. And you can see him supporting the cause in a hilarious music video called Up2 You + Me on YouTube.

What a great couple of days it's been for Coleen Rooney and Wayne Rooney. Last night Mrs Rooney was making it public that she and her footballing husband were to have their second child together, and now it's been revealed that Wayne will be captaining the England football team this weekend as they take part in World Cup qualifying action against European minnows San Marino.
"A few people guessed, so news is out ha!!" Coleen wrote on her Twitter yesterday (October 10, 2012), going on to add "Me Wayne and Kai are thrilled that we are expecting a new addition to our family around May time"; another Tweet then said "Its still only early but bursting with excitement! Also wanted the news to come from us, before anyone else!" The couple's son Kai is three years old next month. Among those leading the congratulations was Wayne's former England striking partner Michael Owen, who joked "Didn't think you had it in you to fill another pram! Still a couple behind me! Congratulations to you both."
Whilst 32 year-old Owen's England days look to be behind him, Rooney will be captaining his country for the first time since their 1-0 defeat to Brazil in a friendly in November 2009. Rooney takes the role after injuries to Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard have taken both players out of the game.
Coleen Rooney pregnant for the second time. It's tonight's biggest showbiz news and has taken over Twitter in a big way Though 'Coleen Pregnant' lit up the micro-blogging website as a trending term, it was husband Wayne's profile page that saw the most activity.
Mrs Rooney was first to announce the news, tweeting, "A few people guessed, so news is out ha!! Me wayne and Kai are thrilled that we are expecting a new addition to our family around May time x," following up by saying, "Its still only early but bursting with excitement! Also wanted the news to come from us, before anyone else! ??" The couple already have a son, Kai, who was born in November 2009 but there was no shortage of congratulations for the pair, with footballers from far and wide giving Wayne a big old digital slap on the back. Rooney's former Manchester United team-mate Darron Gibson said, "Congrats to @ColeenRoo and @WayneRooney on their great news! Well done wazz," while defender Alex Bruce said, "Congratulations to @WayneRooney and @ColeenRoo delighted for you both xx"
The pair married in a lavish ceremony in June 2008. She is best known for her magazine columns and for presenting 'Coleen's Real Women.'
