Coleen Rooney and Nadine Coyle have united in a 'Game of Thrones' style photoshoot for Cancer Research.

Fashion designer Coleen and former Girls Aloud singer Nadine abandoned their everyday looks in favour of flowing tresses as they donned defiant stares and channeled their inner warrior, all in aid of a campaign for Cancer Research UK's Race for Life.

Coleen revealed she was ''thrilled'' to support the charity and cited her sister - who died from a rare form of autism - as her inspiration.

She said: ''My sister who sadly died due to a genetic disorder called Rett Syndrome. She was such a strong little girl with so many medical problems. She was in and out of hospital for months on end but always had a smile on her face.''

The women - who look like they've stepped straight off the set of the hit HBO drama following their makeovers - both offered their health fitness advice to those thinking about taking part in the runs to raise money for the charity.

Nadine said: ''Do a little every day. I'll have this fruit instead of that pastry then you find that it becomes your routine and you're not on a diet or thinking about losing weight - it becomes more of your lifestyle.''

Coleen added: ''To build up your fitness start doing a little bit of exercise every day and setting yourself targets to increase your exercise routines. Most of all enjoy and you will soon feel the benefits.''

Women can take part in 5K, 10K and Pretty Muddy events, with over 300 events taking place nationwide this summer.
