Snoop Dogg’s son, Cordell Broadus, isn’t normally the headline grabbing type, but the Four-star high school wide receiver got a lot of attention recently, after voicing his support for the firing of USC coach Lane Kiffin. Broadus, who is currently considered to be one of the top college prospects from California in the 2015 class, spoke to 247Sports, saying that he supports USC’s decision to let Kiffin go, following the Trojans’ Sunday defeat to Arizona State, 62-41, at Tempe, Ariz. TheUSC team is currently going through an unusually poor season, and it looks like Kiffin has taken the flack for the low performance.

"I feel that he should have been fired a while ago and USC is going to raise the bar now because the new coaching staff next year," Broadus, who is currently ranked as the No. 6 wide receiver in the nation by 247Sports, said. Kiffin has been temporarily replaced by Ed Oregon, until a permanent coach is found. The former USC coach was the first at USC to be fired mid-football season, which created an inconvenience for the team.

"It's never the perfect time to do these things," USC Athletic Director Pat Haden said during an afternoon news conference on campus (as reported by the Los Angeles Times), "but I thought it was the right time."
