You’ve probably already heard that The Goonies sequel is in the works after director Richard Donner let the cat out of the bag earlier in the week. Donner has said he hopes the original cast will come back for one more Goonies adventure and, well, we do too. The problem is that it’s been 30 years since the original movie and our adventurers are, well, all grown up. So before we anticpate a Goonies reunion, we’ve got to ask, The Goonies, where are they now?

Sean Astin

The Goonies marked the film debut of Sean Astin, who was already no stranger to Hollywood being the son of child actress Patty Duke. Since playing Mikey Walsh Astin has really grown up and found himself on an even bigger adventure as Sam in the Lord of the Rings. He’s also got a pretty full resume of small roles in television and movies as well such as 50 First Dates and Click. Astin seems to have never been out of a job since The Goonies and he has five more movie credits lined up for this year.

Ke Huy Quan

Before The Goonies, Ke Huy Quan had been Harrison Ford's 12 year old sidekick Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. On the set he began studying Taekwondo and afterwards he would continue his training before changing careers, becoming a stunt choreographer who has worked on X-Men and The One. As for acting, he hasn't appeared on screen since 2002’s Chinense action flick Second Time Around. He now goes by his birth name Jonathan Ke Quan.

Corey Feldman

Perhaps the best know Goonies star, Feldman’s follow up his early success was starring in two more classics 80s films, Stand by Me and the The Lost Boys. The hat trick of 80s hits marked the high point of his career and his fame and box office drawing power would start to wane as he reached his twenties. Later he would turn to music, fronting the band Truth Movement and releasing a solo album Former Child Actor. He then started appearing on reality TV, first in 'The Surreal Life' and then joining former co-star and best friend Corey Haim in 'The Two Coreys'. Most recently he has released his autobiography Coreyography: A Memoir.

Josh Brolin

The son of James Brolin, Josh Brolin had a hard time escaping his father’s shadow. He appeared in a series of forgettable flicks, before finding his footing in the Oscar nominated No Country for Old Men. Roles in other critically acclaimed works followed including American Gangster, W and Milk, for which he received an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actor. He also appeared in Men in Black 3 as the young Agent K and will next be seen in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For later this year.

Jeff Cohen

Jeff Cohen, who played Chunk, is the one Goonies star who has really left his acting career behind him, though he's still in showbusiness. Cohen is now a successful entertainment lawyer with his own firm in Beverly Hills and he also writes for the Huffington Post and CNBC on legal matters.
