When Snow Patrol guitarist Johnny McDaid asked Courteney Cox to marry him back in June, very close FRIENDS and family were on hand to witness the special moment, which took place at her daughter Coco's birthday party.
Cox and McDaid became engaged in June of this year

Jennifer Aniston was appearing on the show to promote her new film, Life of Crime, but couldn't escape her role as Rachel Green on 'Friends'. In a hilarious sketch, she pretends to be completely surprised when Kimmel reveals a replica of the famous kitchen from the show. Kimmel plays Rachel's boyfriend, Ross, originally portrayed by David Schwimmer, in a script apparently written by Kimmel. She feigns irritation at Kimmel's bad writing and attempts to make her wear a Rachel wig he has hidden in the freezer.

The actress has announced her engagement to the Snow Patrol guitarist.
So how did ‘Friends’ star Courteney Cox ended up becoming engaged to the guitarist from Snow Patrol? The relationship between the 50 year old actress and the Irish rocker might seem like one of the most unlikely pairings in Hollywood, but clearly it’s working. Both Courteney and Johnny took to Twitter yesterday to announce their engagement, after the rocker reportedly proposed while the couple were on vacation. But what do we know about the man who's won the heart of our favourite ‘friend’?
Courteney Cox and her new fiancee, Johnny McDaid
Hailing from Derry in Northern Ireland, 37 year old McDaid is a multi talented musician who currently plays guitar for Snow Patrol. The band, who were formed in 1994, recruited McDaid as a full time member in 2011, after he’d been touring with them for four years. But before he joined Snow Patrol, McDaid was a member of Vega4, an alternative band with a international feel (the four members all hailed from different countries). The group are mostly remembered for their single ‘Life is Beautiful’ which featured on ‘Greys Anatomy’ and the soundtrack of My Sister’s Keeper. The band also collaborated with dance producer Paul Van Dyke for the single ‘Time Of Our Lives’ from his album Reflections.

10 years on we look at what it was that made TV series 'Friends' so special.
We’re feeling pretty nostalgic (and old) because it’s been ten years since the final episode of Friends aired. We’d sort of been getting by on the hope that a reunion episode would take place, but mean Matt LeBlanc ruined that dream. The actor, who played Joey, recently said: “That show was about a finite period of time in life, after college and before your relationship and family starts and where your friends are your support system. That’s what the magic of the show was - everyone goes through that and can relate to that.”

That wasn’t the only magic that Friends had. The reason that the show was so popular for so long was a combination of a dozen or so factors that just worked. The chemistry between the cast was palpable, you could just tell that Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox were best friends in real life and that translated onto their onscreen friendship.

Christina McLarty & David Arquette Have Given Birth To A Son, Charlie West.
Charlie was born around half-past noon on Monday in L.A. and weighed in at 8 pounds, 7 ounces. The Scream actor, 42, and the former Entertainment Tonight correspondent, 33, met in 2011 but have dated on and off due to difficult relationship logistics brought about by living in L.A. and New York respectively.

There's nothing we love more than finding out when celebrities are best friends, some of them aren't a secret, others will blow you away. We bet you never knew about Bette Midler and 50 Cent's budding best friendship...
Unlike Jennifer Lawrence and her rather normal best friend, Laura Simpson, celebs often pick other famous people to have as their BFFs. They all probably bump into each other at so many events that it’s difficult not to end up practically joined at the hip. Some of these celebrity BFFs you’ll already know about, some you’ll be totally surprised to hear have even met! The phrase chalk and cheese comes to mind.

Courtney Cox and Jennifer Aniston have been BFFs since their Monica and Rachel days. The pair have seen each other through weddings and divorces, children and various film/TV projects. “We just have fun, we laugh, we’re inseparable and it’s great”, Cox said of Aniston, while her best friend in turn dubbed her “the most dependable and loyal”. Mutual appreciation society, or what? We love it! That's how all best friends should talk about each other in our opinion.

Wouldn't a Friends reunion just be a terrible idea?
Twenty years ago we welcomed ‘Friends’ on to our television screens and ten years ago we bid the series an emotional farewell. But for some fans, the decade of laughs the show provided simply wasn't enough and talk of a ‘Friends’ reunion still persists, most recently when a faked poster appeared on twitter. The question is, why? Surely when the show gave us such a perfect ending, a ‘Friends’ reunion would just be a really really bad idea.
Jennifer Aniston Played Rachel Green on Friends
With the constant re-runs, we’ve never really been able to escape ‘Friends’ since it ended a decade ago and we’re not really complaining. The show has that comfortable familiarity with the viewer that ever sitcom strives for and when watching a re-run who hasn't thought ‘I wonder what these guys are up to now’? But that thought should really be followed by a somber slice of pure logic, a reunion just wouldn't be feasible. When the show began, the characters were in their mid twenties, figuring out their lives by way of failed relationships and jobs. Creator Marta Kauffman put it perfectly saying, ‘Friends was about that time in your life when your friends are your family.’ Bar Ross who was already one divorce in by the first series and also became a father, the ‘Friends’ gang were all initially free of serious relationships and children. As the show progressed we got the Ross and Rachel on and off saga and Monica and Chandler’s friendship blossoming into romance. Now, well, they’d all be over 40. Monica and Chandler would be raising the twins and Ross and Rachel would have a 12 year old daughter. So its difficult to imagine how the characters could be the same personalities we’d grown to love. Could you really imagine Phoebe being that ditzy pushing 50 or Joey being, well Joey, now well into his 40s? It would all just seem a little far fetched.

Who knew Angelina Jolie appeared in a Meatloaf music video in the early 90s? These other celebrities have popped up in music videos, how many of them have you seen?
We all know that Lady GaGa loves to shock, so no one was actually that surprised to see the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills make a cameo appearance in her new ‘ARTPOP’ music video for ‘G.U.Y.’ Gaga isn’t the only musician to make use of celebrities in her music videos, although she is certainly the first to dress up reality TV stars as an ancient Greek chorus. The video for ‘G.U.Y.’ sees Lisa Vanderpump playing the tambourine, while Kim and Kyle Richards play guitars, Carlton Gebbia strums the harp with Yolanda Foster on the cello. No one can call Gaga unoriginal!
Lady Gaga is known for releasing outrageous music videos
Who remembers Courteney Cox’s cameo appearance in Bruce Springsteen’s 1984 video for “Dancing in the Dark”? We don't blame you if you can't, it was quite a long time ago and the Friends star herself was only 20 years old. The video sees The Boss pluck Cox from the crowd to bring her up on stage to dance with him.

What would FRIENDS have been like if these actors had won the roles instead of the iconic cast?
Who could possibly imagine anyone other than Courteney Cox donning a fat suit for the iconic Monica dance? Would Ross and Rachel have been suitably odd, yet totally perfect together if anyone other than David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston had bagged the roles? To join our ‘Alternate Cast’ series we take a look a selection of other actors who tried out for the roles of the much-loved FRIENDS cast.
Can you imagine anyone other than Jennifer Aniston playing Rachel?
American movie star Tea Leoni was believed to be the producers’ first choice to play Rachel Green. However, Tea passed on the role and went on to star in The Naked Truth. The show only ran for three seasons but allowed Tea a lead role as opposed to FRIENDS, where she would have had to share the limelight with five other actors. She’s since gone onto to star in a string of Hollywood films, so we don’t think she suffered too much from turning down Rachel.

'The One Where They Reunite': will there ever be an end to the rumour of a 'Friends' reunion?
The rumour of the Friends 2014 return is doing the rounds again and seems to be as unfounded as ever. Fake reunion movie and episode posters are once again circling the internet and simultaneously driving hardcore Friends fans wild as well as provoking a collective cry of "just let it go already!!"
The 'Friends' Reunion Rumours Seem To Be Unfounded For Now.
Fans of the show are divided into two camps: those who salivate at every tidbit of reunion gossip, ready to jump back on the sofa for those first jangly strains of 'I'll Be There For You,' and those who for whatever reason, feel the franchise is best left at its rather neat finale which aired in May 2004 and are perfectly content with their Burj Khalifa-rivalling skyscraper of all ten Friends box sets.

It's Christmas in the Aniston household! The 'Friends' actress throws a pretty rockin' party.
Jennifer Aniston has celebrated the festive season by throwing another major Hollywood Christmas party, cramming her estate to the rafters with A-list stars and friends old and new. Co-hosting with her fiancé Justin Theroux, Jennifer made sure as many big Hollywood names as possible were in attendance, drawing an enviable roster of guests that included Robert Downey Jr., Chelsea Handler, Courtney Cox, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin, Tobey Maguire, Jason Bateman and Will Arnett.
Jennifer Aniston Sure Knows How To Rock A Party.
A seasoned party-thrower and goer, Jennifer told Parade magazine her tried and tested hosting tips to make any festive bash a success. "There's usually three different kinds of chili at the tree-trimming party. There's a vegetarian chili, a turkey chili and a good ol' beef chili," the actress said. "I can't honestly say I make that, but I do make some Rice Krispies treats and hot chocolate. My best hostess tip is to have good food and really good music! We usually put on the Charlie Brown Christmas album. That's my favorite. And then we'll go to Bing Crosby and stuff like that."

If Lisa Kudrow & Matthew Perry had their way, 'Friends' would be making a return to our screens.
Filling in for British host Piers Morgan on Piers Morgan Live on 26th July, Friends star Matthew Perry, AKA Chandler Bing, took over hosting responsibilities, showing off his natural talent for comedy in an interview with Friends co-star, Lisa Kudrow. In Perry's opening monologue during which he assesses how he and Morgan are different, he introduces his rather familiar first interviewee: "she beautiful, she's intelligent, she's hilarious and if memory serves she owes me, errr...47 dollars[...]you may remember her as being the second funniest cast member on Friends" as Kudrow's laughter filters through from offscreen.
Kudrow: Could She & Perry Form Their Own Splinter Version Of Friends?
The pair joked and bantered like old times, having spent ten seasons on the popular sitcom which charted the lives of a group of friends living in Manhattan. The pair also revealed that, if it were up to them, the show that broadcast its final episode in 2004 wouldn't have ended as soon as it did. "If I had a time machine, I would like to go back to 2004 and not have stopped," admitted Perry who has been seen most recently on the now cancelled 2012 NBC comedy, Go On. The unofficial Friends. The One With The Reunion Image has been floating around for months on Twitter, stirring up a frenzy but it's pretty clear no sneaky efforts are being made to produce more episodes under the radar.
