Last month (Mar15), Indiana state officials led by Republican Governor Mike Pence passed a new law allowing business owners to use their religious beliefs as a defence if sued for discrimination.

Reacting to the news, Boy George, who is openly gay, insisted he will not boycott the state as it would punish residents who want to see him perform.

He tells U.S. TV veteran Larry King, "(The legislation) is kind of old fashioned. It's like, move on. It's so crazy. I always feel like it's important to bring your music to the people that love you. So if you're depriving little gay boys and girls of Indiana of your music then that's probably not a good thing to do. I'd do a little research first to see if Indiana wants me there."

Celebrities including Rihanna, Miley Cyrus and Ashton Kutcher have publicly condemned the legislation, believing it could lead to discrimination against gay couples.
