Tarantino's ninth film is shaping up nicely, with Lewis, Fanning and Luke Perry joining this week.
Quentin Tarantino’s films are legendary for many reasons, not least because of his consistent ability to attract amazingly star-studded casts for his epics. However, his upcoming project Once Upon A Time In Hollywood could turn out to feature his most impressive cast yet, with Damian Lewis, Dakota Fanning and Luke Perry announced as the newest additions!
Deadline reported on Wednesday night (June 6th) that the three huge stars will be joining the likes of Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie on the new film.
Former ‘Homeland’ star Lewis, 47, is set to play the iconic actor Steve McQueen, while Fanning has been cast as Squeaky Fromme, a Manson cult follower who infamously attempted to assassinate President Gerald Ford. Perry is going to play the unknown character Scotty Lancer.

The Silent Storm which is set in the idyllic moorlands of the Scottish Islands, post WWII, holds a dark secret that is tearing the community apart. The exceedingly strict minister of the community is called Balor and he'll got to extreme lengths to see his way of life, a traditional way of life, preserved. However due to his relentless actions, the relationship with his withdrawn wife, Aislin, is suffering. They have a troubled relationship together and they are reaching breaking point because Aislin feels more at one with nature and a free spirt than an individual in the community.
In the chaos of the violent argument that erupts between them a 17 year old male delinquent arrives to live with them as a last ditched attempt at rehabilitation. Aislin is drawn to his nature and the fact that he too is an outsider brings comfort to her. As their relationship deepens, the minister finds himself becoming more and more jealous until the situation erupts into a fight. If Aislin needed a saviour, perhaps Fionn's arrival will be the release she needs.
The film directed by Corinna McFarlane deals with the theme romance and offers a form of escapism for the character of Aislin to live her life beyond the remote Scottish Island.
Recent reports had suggested that Craig has reversed his position on playing 007, signing up for two more films.
With the release of the highly-anticipated Spectre now imminent, Daniel Craig seems to have changed his tune about the prospects of continuing to be James Bond after recently landing himself in hot water after saying rather “slash his wrists” than play 007 again.
That is to say, he now says he “doesn’t really care” about who will take over as the British spy when he eventually finishes. In the last fortnight, rumours have maintained that Craig has reversed his position and signed up for two more Bond films.
However, when interviewed by The Sun, the 47 year old actor refused to be drawn on what decision he had made. “I have the right to change my mind any time I want to, and sometimes I say things like I did two days after finishing shooting for eight months. I said what was on my mind. That’s the way I’ve always spoken,” he said matter-of-factly.

The ‘Homeland’ star is emerging as the favourite to take over from Daniel Craig.
‘Homeland’ actor Damian Lewis looks set to be the one to take over the role of James Bond when Daniel Craig steps down as 007. According to the Sunday Mirror, Lewis has been given ‘an unofficial nod’ that he is producer's first choice, if Craig decides Spectre will be his last Bond outing.
Damian Lewis could be your new James Bond.
“If Daniel Craig leaves, it’s Damian Lewis who will be crowned the new Bond,” a ‘well placed source’ told the newspaper. “He is seen as an all-round international star who is perfect for the role. As he ages, he looks increasingly suave and sophisticated.”

British period dramas ‘Downton Abbey’ and ‘Wolf Hall’ have each scored three nods at this year’s Emmy Awards.
‘Downton Abbey’ and ‘Wolf Hall’ have led the British nominations at this year's Emmy Awards, with both dramas picking up three nods each. While HBO series ‘Game Of Thrones’ might have dominated this year’s nominations with 24 nods, British stars have also flourished with actors Joanne Froggatt, Emma Thompson and Ricky Gervais among the nominees.
‘Downton Abbey’s’ Joanne Froggatt has picked up an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama
ITV drama ‘Downton Abbey’ received three nominations including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Drama for Jim Carter and Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama for Joanne Froggatt, who plays maid Anna Bates. Froggatt was nominated in the same category last year, but lost out to ‘Breaking Bad’s’ Anna Gunn.
The ‘Luther’ actor is one of the hot favourites to take over from Daniel Craig.
Idris Elba has long been rumoured to be the next in line to play James Bond once Daniel Craig steps down from the franchise later this year. But while ‘The Wire’ actor has previously stated he would take on the role, Elba has now dismissed any rumours as pure speculation.
Idris Elba has spoken about the rumours that he’ll be the next Bond.
“It’s just a rumour. I have no idea,” Elba told the Radio Times when asked about being joint favourite at the bookies with Damian Lewis to replace Daniel Craig. The rumours about Elba taking over the 007 role started when when a leaked Sony email stated that the actor “should be the next Bond”.
Sir Roger, now 87, told The Sun that only Sean Connery is holding out on the idea.
Sir Roger Moore, the veteran actor perhaps best known for his stint at portraying James Bond, has made the extraordinary revelation that there are plans afoot for an unofficial James Bond movie similar to The Expendables, which will feature all the old 007 actors.
In an interview with British tabloid paper The Sun, the 87 year old actor claimed that producers are hoping to feature him, GEORGE LAZENBY, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan in a feature film – but at the same time admitted that Sean Connery isn’t interested.

Odds have been slashed on the ‘Homeland’ star becoming the first red-headed 007.
‘Homeland’ star Damian Lewis has emerged as one of the frontrunners to replace Daniel Craig as James Bond, after a string of bets caused bookies to slash their odds on the actor. Current Bond Daniel Craig is widely believed to be stepping down as 007 later this year following the release of his fourth film in the franchise, Spectre.
Can you picture Damian Lewis as 007?
Bookie William Hill is now offering 6/4 odds on Lewis becoming the next Bond, having previously put him at 25/1. The move comes after a flurry of £200 bets were recently placed on the ‘Homeland’ actor.
