Daniel Craig wants to do more theatre acting.

The 47-year-old actor, who stars as James Bond in the iconic film franchise, has revealed that once he's finished promoting the eagerly-awaited new movie 'Spectre', he will try to do more theatre work - although he's reluctant to appear on Broadway.

Asked what he's going to do over the next year or two, Daniel replied: ''Nothing, actually. I'd like to do some theatre in New York. I've done Broadway and I was happy with that, but I don't want to do Broadway anymore.''

Daniel explained he doesn't wish to appear on Broadway because of the audience those productions attract.

He told DuJour magazine: ''The audience is all over 50, on the whole, and I think new faces and cheaper tickets are the only way forward. And it's never going to happen.''

Earlier this month, meanwhile, former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan said he would be happy if the next secret agent had homosexual leanings - but he doesn't see it happening.

Asked if he could picture a gay Bond, Pierce said: ''Sure. Why not?

''Actually, I don't know how it would work. I don't think [producer Barbara Broccoli] would allow a gay Bond to happen in her lifetime. But it would certainly make for interesting viewing.''
