A teaser trailer for the upcoming James Bond film Spectre has been released and the film promises to deal more with Bond's past. From what we can glean from the teaser trailer, Spectre is set in the weeks following Bond's fight with cyber terrorist Raoul Silva at Skyfall and M's subsequent death. MI6 headquarters are still in ruins following Silva's attack and an investigation into what happened at Bond's family home of Skyfall is underway. Bond is seemingly drawn into a web of lies and deceit which centre on a secret intelligence agency, known as Spectre.

The organisation, as opposed to an individual, appear to be Bond's main nemesis in the upcoming film, quite a departure from the traditional 'one man set on world domination' we've seen as Bond's enemies before. Christoph Waltz (Big Eyes) plays Franz Oberhauser in the upcoming film. There is much speculation surrounding Waltz's character and many Bond fans are suggesting Oberhauser is actually Ernst Stavro Blofeld, a villain who has cropped up in a number of past Bond films. Blofeld is the head of Spectre but it is uncertain if the character will appear in the film. Furthermore, even if Waltz's character is Blofeld, if his role will be of classic Bond villain or simply act as a decoy for larger and more sinister enemies which lie in wait.
