Rumours of a prospective movie series bringing the recent Harry Potter play ‘The Cursed Child’ to the big screen have been reignited, with an entertainment journalist claiming that Warner Bros. is in discussions with the franchise’s original stars to reprise their characters.

The two-part play, co-written by J.K. Rowling, opened at the Palace Theatre in London back in June 2016, and is set 19 years after the events of Rowling’s books. Shows have continued to sell out for months, and rumours of a Broadway production have recently floated.

2016 just seems to keep delivering more great news for Adele, as it’s been revealed that she’s more than doubled her net worth to be named as the richest British celebrity under the age of 30, knocking One Direction’s band members from the top of the list.

Daniel Radcliffe is set to return to the stage in a 50th anniversary production of Tom Stoppard’s play ‘Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead’ in London next year.

The 27 year old former Harry Potter actor is set to play Rosencrantz, and will star alongside Joshua McGuire’s Guildenstern at the Old Vic Theatre, in a production directed by David Leveaux that will be starting on February 25th 2017 and ending on April 29th.

NBCUniversal has acquired the rights to air the Harry Potter movies in the US, as well as the upcoming Fantastic Beasts series from owners Warner Bros. The television rights were previously held by Disney in a seven-year deal, but NBC will take them over from July 2018.

Speaking at the play’s gala opening in London, the author said she feels Harry’s story is now "complete" and it’s time to focus on the new generation.

Fiennes’ portrayal of Lord Voldemort is one of the most memorable villains in recent movie history, and Radcliffe said that even Fiennes’ presence on set was “genuinely intimidating” – even more so than Alan Rickman (Professor Snape), whom he found friendly after a short time.

Victor Frankenstein stars James McAvoy as the doctor and Daniel Radcliffe as his assistant Igor, and the two actors developed a close friendship on-set, despite their 10-year age difference and the challenges of making the movie. This is reflected in the film's plot. As McAvoy notes, "Igor has something that Frankenstein needs, so he harnesses him. Frankenstein is very selfish and personally driven, so he's always using, but something of Igor gets through to him and they do form a loving relationship."

But Radcliffe says that the friendship he forged with McAvoy backstage is very different from what's on-screen. "Victor and Igor's relationship is quite an abusive one," he says. "I think James and I are fairly similar in terms of our work ethic. But we're lucky that we get to work in an industry where we can have a lot of fun while doing our jobs." Intriguingly, the character of Igor isn't even in Shelley's novel, but he's been important in the movies. "Victor and the monster have had plenty of time to get acquainted," says Radcliffe. "Now it's time for Victor and Igor! Something I found very interesting is that [screenwriter] Max Landis says one of his big inspirations for writing this film was The Social Network - this idea of two young guys on the tip of the spear of technology who are forging their ways forward and being told no and really overcoming it all with youthful rebellion and a complete lack of self-doubt. I find that rather exciting."

Daniel Radcliffe may have left his hugely famous role as Harry Potter behind a long time ago, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t feel envious of his wizarding successor Eddie Redmayne.

Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe has been honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and attended a short unveiling ceremony in Los Angeles yesterday.

The British star began his acting career 15 years ago when he appeared at the age of 11 in the first Potter movie The Philosopher’s Stone, and proceeded to feature in all of the seven sequels alongside co-stars Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.

Now 26 years old, and having branched out in his screen and stage career with a number of very different projects since the end of the movie series that made him internationally famous, such as The Woman In Black, Kill Your Darlings, Trainwreck and What If, Radcliffe turned out in a smart checked suit at the ceremony outside the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles on Thursday (November 12th).

We want coffee shops and skinny lattes and little dogs and Adam Driver and maybe, just maybe, we want Daniel Radcliffe.

After coming home on his fifth wedding anniversary to find his wife Amy is missing, Nick Dunne is left trying to figure out what possibly could have happened to her. But as details of the couple’s seemingly blissful marriage are revealed in the media, suddenly more and more fingers start to be pointed at Nick. From the trailer, this one looks like it could be even better than the book thanks to Affleck’s believable performance and the casting of Neil Patrick Harris. Gone Girl hits theatres this October, but in the meantime you can watch the trailer here.

Screen Daily reported, the biopic will be titled 'Gold' and it's vision is to tell the story of two great Olympic middle distance runners in the years leading up to the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games.

In a recently compiled list by Heat Magazine, the boy were revealed as the highest earning entertainment stars under-30's in the UK, with a combined worth of almost £60 million. Individually, the boys would be placed just outside the top ten, however when their wealth is combined they come out on top by a narrow margin.

Last years top spot holder, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, was ousted by the combined earning power of the mega-successful boy band, who have an estimated worth of over £12 million each. The boys were included to the list as a joint entity because most of their earnings have been made as a group, rather than through independent ventures. Narrowly missing out on reclaiming his top spot for a third time, Radcliffe came in second this year with £56.19 million. Something tells us that the Kill Your Darlings actor isn't losing too much sleep over being ousted from the top spot.

Ben Stiller's remake of the 1947 classic premiered at the New York Film Festival this week, with Stiller and costars Kristin Wiig and Adam Scott in attendance. The film, about a mild-mannered office worker with a vivid daydreaming life, won the festival's Fellowship Award. Daniel Radcliffe has been spotted on a numer of occasions recently looking a little worse for wear. The Harry Potter actor was spotted in London this week looking gaunt and pale, bringing into question his current health and what might be causing him to look so unhealthy. It turns out, according to his publicist, that Daniel is looking worn out nowadays because he simply is worn out, with the actor really feeling the strain of his hectic workload.

Radcliffe currently stars in the West End production of The Cripple of Inishmaan, by play-write Martin McDonagh, and was spotted in London on Thursday July 18 looking uncomfortably pale and skinny - a far cry from his usually healthy look. To put our collective minds at ease, a rep for Radcliffe confirmed that his appearance is down to his role in the play, one that "is a very demanding... physically."

J.K. Rowling, author of the hugely popular Harry Potter series, admitted she had published a detective novel under the pseudonym 'Robert Galbraith'.  Her announcement was made on Sunday 14th July after a newspaper followed up on a hunch that the 'two' authors shared very similar writing styles. The novel, entitled The Cuckoo's Calling, was published in April of this year. Despite receiving critical acclaim the novel sold less than 500 copies.

One publishing house, Orion, has admitted their mistake in turning down the novel. The publishing director, Kate Mills, said Rowling's latest work was "perfectly decent, but quiet". She continued to say that it was "well written" but concerned that "it didn't stand out".  Mills claimed this is a serious problem when attempting to launch "new authors" in crime fiction when it is already "a very crowded market".

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe claims he is aware of his slight stature and said, as reported in The Sun, that he was "never going to be cast to play a Bruce Willis character in Die Hard".

Since completing the Harry Potter films Radcliffe has gone on to appear, most notably, in The Woman in Black and Sky's A Young Doctor's Notebook. He frequently does theatre work; his latest role in Michael Grandage's The Cripple of Inishmann has received favourable reviews. 

At only 5'5 the actor says he is "not nearly strapping enough to play Bond" but would be a "much better villain". Should Radcliffe be considered for a Bond villain he would be following in the footsteps of such actors as Antony Dawson (Dr.No); Peter Lorre (as Le Chiffre in the original Casino Royale) and Gert Frobe (Goldfinger).

Daniel Radcliffe has long insisted that he’s now done with Harry Potter; but a cameo playing his dad? That would be a different matter entirely. In the unlikely event that the author J.K Rowling opted to write a sequel to the existing books and films, Radcliffe commented “No more schoolboy stuff. A cameo as Harry’s dad? That would be perfect!”

Radcliffe was talking to Time Out magazine, and revealed that he did fancy being a father. “I definitely want to have kids,” the 23 year-old told the publication. “I’ve grown up around lots of people who were having kids when I knew them, because a lot of them were a lot older than me. And I saw the wonderful change in them.”

Continuing, he added “I see that it gives you a sense of purpose that up till now I only really get from work. I want that. I don’t know when or [with whom] but I want it. And I’d like to get started on it before my thirties. I like the idea of being a youngish parent. So I’ve got energy to play football even though they’ll be better than me by the time they’re four.” He also reckons that he’ll be a demanding parent, commenting: “I’m definitely going to be one of those parents who pushes their kids into things.”

Exciting news for Harry Potter fans; Daniel Radcliffe has admitted that he would be interested in returning to the franchise, but with one little caveat: he’ll only make an appearance as Harry’s father.

Talking to British chat show host Graham Norton, Radcliffe replied to a question on a possible return, saying: “A cameo as Harry’s dad? That would be perfect!” Radcliff will probably be in a good position to play a father by the time that opportunity comes around. He’s very keen to add little Harrys to the world. “I definitely want to have kids,” he said in an interview with Time Out magazine. “I’ve grown up around lots of people who were having kids when I knew them, because a lot of them were a lot older than me. And I saw the wonderful change in them.” He added that he expects to be a demanding parent: “I’m definitely going to be one of those parents who pushes their kids into things.”

Having vowed to cut out the ‘schoolboy’ roles, Radcliffe has been taking on some particularly adult ones, like playing a gay poet Allen Ginsberg in new flick Kill your Darlings. “I was doing a gay sex scene and the director was giving step-by-step instructions…and the favourite note I have ever had was when we were kissing and the director shouted, “Not like that. Crazy sex kissing!"

Daniel Radcliffe cannot be accused of playing it safe with his movie roles since wrapping up the Harry Potter movies. He's played a ghost hunting accountant in The Woman in Black, beat poet Allen Ginsbert in Kill Your Darlings and now, he's signed up to play an American journalist reporting on Japan's criminal underworld in Tokyo Vice.

The film, set to shoot in early 2014, will be directed by music video veteran Anthony Mandler, based on a script by JT Rodgers, which is in turn based on the memoirs of Jake Adelstein. The U.S. journalist worked as a crime reporter on the Yomiuri Shimbun, the largest newspaper in the world by circulation. He became the first westerner in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Press Club and went on to deliver a game-changing expose on a yakuza boss given a live transplant in California. "I had a number of people interested in adapting the book, but I was concerned what would happen if I didn't have some say in what happened to the screenplay. I would have issues if a lot of liberties were taken, as this is the story of my life," Adelstein told The Hollywood Reporter. The journalist appeared happy with Radcliffe's casting, "Daniel Radcliffe is 24, about the same age as I was when I began as a cub reporter. I think he's really maturing as an actor and will be great for the role," he said.

The actor has been further broadening his repertoire in recent months, shooting both the supernatural thriller Horns, with Juno Temple, and comedy-drama The F-Word.

The Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe led a tearful farewell to his former co-star Richard Griffiths, who passed away last week. The Daily Express reports that the 23 year-old was sobbing as he paid tribute to Griffiths, aged 65. The portly Withnail and I star was buried in a 3 foot wide coffin and a number of well-known figures from the world of entertainment were present at the funeral to pay their respects.

In his speech, Daniel said that Griffiths made any room “twice as funny.” A mourner told the newspaper “Daniel was clearly very fond of Richard, as anyone who ever met him was, and was crying quite openly in church. It was a beautiful service and Richard would have been touched by how many people turned up to say goodbye… Richard was a tremendous character and the service was full of laughter and tears as his life was remembered with immense warmth and affection.”

A well-loved figure. Griffiths’ funeral was attended by the actors Nigel Havers, David Bradley and John Nettles. The comedian Jack Whitehall, also Richard’s godson, was also present, to say goodbye, at the church in Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire. Griffiths’ former Withnail & I co-star Richard E Grant sent a vegetable wreath, as a nod to a scene in the film, according to the report.

Daniel Radcliffe just needs to dot the i's and cross the t's before becoming the next Igor The Hunchback. Yep, you heard us correctly, the boy wizard himself who began his post-Potter movie career with The Lady In Black will play Igor in Fox's revisionist take on Mary Shelley's classic horror story, Frankenstein, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The movie is set to be directed by Gangster No.1 filmmaker Paul McGuigan and has a script by Chronicle scribe Max Landis. It's a strange casting for the clean cut Radcliffe, with Igor described as "pathologically dirty, with long hair and wearing old clown clothes." A circus theme runs through much of the new project, according to sources, and production is set to start in the UK late this summer. The last notable adaptation of Frankenstein came in 1994, when Kenneth Branagh directed the likes of Robert De Niro and Helena Bonham Carter.

Radcliffe recently made headlines for his role as poet Allen Ginsberg in the Sundance hit 'Kill Your Darlings.' Prior to that, he appeared in 'The Woman in Black' and starred on Broadway in the musical 'How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying' and in London's West End play 'Cripple of Inishmaan.' Later this year, he will appear in the fantasy film 'Horns' by director Alexandre Aja.

When movie fans look back on this year's Academy Awards, Kristen Stewart may well be at the forefront of their minds. The Twilight actress, fresh from winning the Razzie for Worst Actress, appeared severely dishevelled while presenting an award with Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe.

Stewart, who was hardly out of the headlines last year after a well-documented cheating scandal, limped on-stage and muttered her lines. Stewart appeared distant and even failed to come in on-time to introduce the nominees - leaving Radcliffe looking pretty uncomfortable. Of course, the Twitter universe gave the actress a severe beating, with one user joking, "Kristen Stewart looks like one the chicks Liam Neeson leaves behind in Taken," and another saying, "A hobbling, disheveled Kristen Stewart is scarier than any vampire movie she's been in." 

It's unclear exactly what happened to Stewart, though she seemingly wanted to be anywhere but the Oscars - watched by millions across the world. One Academy Award viewer said, "Kristen Stewart is limping because she sprained her ankle from being excessively disinterested." However, it was perhaps Heather Robinson who summed up the whole bizarre episode, "Why does Kristen Stewart always look like she's on crack," she said.

The interview that accompanies the Radcliffe Out cover reveals that the former Harry Potter star is feeling pretty nonplussed about his gay sex scenes in Kill Your Darlings, despite the fact that it’s caused a bit of a stir in the movie world. The transition from Harry Potter to… well, anything else, really, was never going to be easy and Daniel Radcliffe decided to make life a little challenging and really go against type with Kill Your Darlings. When asked about those sex scenes, though, Radcliffe insists that it’s no big deal.

“You never see a gay actor getting asked what it’s like to play straight - to my knowledge, at least, there is no difference in how heterosexual and homosexual people fall in love.” Of course, it’s not just his sexuality that makes Daniel Radcliffe seem like an unlikely candidate to play the role of Allen Ginsberg. “I don’t look like him,” Radcliffe confesses “and I’m English and middle-class and not from New Jersey. But that’s what I think is so exciting about it, because people have no idea.”

Radcliffe’s performance in the movie has been widely praised, with the relationship between Radcliffe’s Ginsberg and Dane DeHaan’s Lucien Carr being the focal point and most compelling element of the entire film. Kill Your Darlings received its debut at the Sundance Film Festival last month (January 2013), where Radcliffe received a great deal of praise for his performance.

Kill Your Darlings, a movie starring Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe as a young Allen Ginsberg, has been snapped up by Sony Pictures Classics following its screening at the Sundance Film Festival. The deal is for U.S, Australian, New Zealand, South African, African TV and Eastern European rights.

The film explores how a 1944 murder brought together the young college students who would go on to become the voices of the Beat Generation. As well as Radcliffe, Kill Your Darlings stars Ben Foster, Dane DeHaan, Michael C. Hall, Jack Huston and Elizabeth Olsen. “This is an amazing movie, a great American drama, thriller, and perfect evocation of New York in the 1940′s as you have never seen on screen before,” Sony said in a statement. “With an ensemble cast that is truly mind-blowing led by Daniel Radcliffe in a profoundly moving performance as Allen Ginsberg, we are witnessing the birth of a major new American filmmaker.”

There has certainly been a clear buying trend at Sundance 2013, with Radcliffe’s movie the latest to be snapped up in super-quick time. The most high profile acquisition was The Way, Way Back – a comedy starring Steve Carell, Toni Colette and Sam Rockwell that Fox Searchlight thought was strong enough to splash $10 million on. The film has a pretty decent pedigree, with Academy Award winning writers Nat Faxon and Jim Rash getting behind the camera for their debut flick. Elsewhere, Jennifer Coolidge’s comedy Austenland found a home at Sony ($4 million), though all eyes were on big-wig Harvey Weinstein, a man known for picking up undiscovered gems at film festivals and turning them into Oscar contenders. This year, he opted for Fruitvale, a drama starring The Wire’s Michael B. Jordan that focuses on police brutality. “I was completely amazed by this incredible film. This earth-shattering story is one that needs to be told, and we are honored to be able to share Oscar’s story with audiences everywhere,” said Weinstein in a statement.

The former Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe takes on a very different role from the young wizard, in his latest movie Kill Your Darlings. In the movie, which is making a showing at the Sundance Festival in Utah, Radcliffe plays the role of the famous beat poet Allen Ginsberg and had to tackle his first gay love scenes, in a story which sees Ginsberg’s idol Lucien Carr murder David Kammerer.

Through the course of the movie Radcliffe’s character comes to embrace his own homosexuality. The movie’s director, John Krokidas revealed that he gave Radcliffe a few pointers, when it came to making the love scenes convincing and believable. Talking at the Sundance Festival, Krokidas told Associated Press “Radcliffe simply asked, 'John, you're gay. How does this work?'" Krokidas said. "I'm not kidding. And so perhaps there was a little dry run-through — oh, she's going to kill me — with me and the director of photography Reed Morano.”

Radcliffe is keen that his Harry Potter fame should feed into Kill Your Darlings and thinks it’s great that people who may not otherwise have watched such a movie, will be drawn to it by his celebrity. “I don't care why people come and see films,” said Radcliffe. “If they come and see a film about the beat poets because they saw me in Harry Potter, fantastic. That's a wonderful thing. I feel like I have an opportunity to capitalize on 'Potter' by doing work that might not otherwise get attention. If I can help get a film like this attention, that's without doubt, that's a great thing."

This movie is not eye opening in terms of cast (it stars Daniel Radcliffe) but has first time director John Krokidas at the helm. Most excitingly though, it's all about Allen Ginsberg. Anyone that has ever read Allen Ginsberg probably loves him. Kill Your Darlings is all about how Ginsberg meets the three men who become the other literary heavyweights of his era (Lucien Carr, William Burroughs and Jack Kerouac), the group that formed the beat generation. Not only is it an exploration of literary boundaries and how to cross them, but of love, companionship and sexuality... Definitely one to watch.

What They Don't Talk About When They Talk About Love
It has a long title, but it's just bound to be beautiful. Mouly Surya is the directorial drive behind an unusual film that centres on the capacities and capabilities of love alongside disability. Set in a school in Indonesia "[w]ith gentle humor, playfulness, and heightened realism, [the film] draws out the poetry in its characters, highlighting the magic in their lives and respecting who they are." Surya has won an award for Best Directing at the Jakarta International Film Festival for her first feature Fiski, so her skill has already been shown, What They Don't Talk ABout... will prove it.

The members of One Direction have displaced the likes of Adele, Cheryl Cole and Leona Lewis in the annual list of Britain's richest under-30s. Though we've no idea how Heat magazine managed to get hold of the bank details of the X Factor stars, they've apparently earned a combined £26.33 million since arriving on the pop music scene.

It means Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Zayn Malik are in at No.5 on the list - which seems slightly unfair to those relegated this year. Anyone can lump five very rich people together and say they're a collective moneymaking outfit, watch us. Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates and Brad Pitt. Anyway, the rules seem to have been bent for the young pop-stars, who knocked Rupert Grint out of the No.5 spot (though Grint teamed up with Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson would be another matter). It was in fact Radcliffe who continued to dominate the chart with a net fortune of £53.33 million. Robert Pattinson moved up to No.2 with £38.73 million, while Keira Knightley was No.3 with £32.7 million.

One Direction become worldwide stars after their debut album Up All Night topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic. Their second record Take Me Home is scheduled for release on 12 November 2012, once again through Syco Records.

Daniel Radcliffe has well and truly shed his Harry Potter image now. If there was any doubt that the one-time child star had fully moved on from the set of films that made him a worldwide name, then it will be extinguished by these new images of a new darker and, dare we say it, eviller Radcliffe.

That's right, the man who once signified all that was good and pure about the fictional wizarding community in the Harry Potter films is turning into Satan himself, as these new pictures show. However, Radcliffe hasn't really aligned himself with the dark side, he's just in costume for a forthcoming role in the film Horns - which is disappointingly not about a group of heavy metal fans. Dressed up as his character Ignatius 'Ig' Perrish, Radcliffe looks like he's gone a few days without sleep, giving him a sadistic glare. More striking though is the fact that he has two horns growing out of his head wear his, well, nothing should be.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Perrish is accused of the violent rape and murder of his girlfriend and, one morning, wakes up to find these rather inconvenient signifiers of the devil growing out of his mop. Irritating. Less irritating for him is the fact that he also learns that he can induce people to tell the truth or compel them to give into their worst desires. Every cloud eh.

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe admitted in a recent interview that he co-star and Emma Watson used to get into huge arguments on the set during filming, sometimes causing the pair to refuse to talk to each other for days on end. Radcliffe spoke about how their differing points of view usually began to debate simple topics which eventually spiralled into something altogether more dramatic.

During an interview with Britain's Radio Times, Radcliffe explained, "Oh, God. We used to argue about everything. Religion. Politics. I remember one of the big arguments we had on the fourth film - we didn't speak to each other for a couple of days - was about... She was arguing about the Latin language, that nobody knows what it sounds like, what a Latin accent should be. And I was like, 'Yeah, but it's still spoken a lot in the Catholic church.'

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe quipped that he could put a revolutionary new twist on the character of James Bond.

The 18-year-old actor was celebrating with fellow cast members after Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was voted best film and Radcliffe named best male at the first ever National Movie Awards.

After beating sex symbol Daniel Craig to the best male award, Radcliffe was asked whether he'd like to one day take over as 007.

"It would be weird to suddenly be involved in another big franchise, but hey, it takes a big man to turn down Bond."

When quizzed as to who his ideal leading lady would be, he quipped that his top choice would be co-star Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter movies.

"I'm going to say Rupert," Radcliffe joked. "I'll be the first gay James Bond!"

But the young star – who is expected to reprise his critically-acclaimed performance in Equus on the Broadway stage – accepted that he might not have the goods to play the spy with a licence to kill.

"I don't think the world's ready for a short-a**e Bond," he moaned.

Questioned if he'd fancy playing the role in a decade, Radcliffe, only 5ft 5ins, admitted: "I'll still be a short a**e!"

Radcliffe is currently starring in Australian coming-of-age drama December Boys and is set to soon begin filming on Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the sixth feature in the Jk Rowling franchise.
