Dave Franco will join James Franco in 'The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room'.

The 28-year-old actor has confirmed that he will join his brother in the drama about director Tommy Wiseau's cult film 'The Room', according to 3news.

Speaking at a screening of the 2003 film in Los Angeles, California Dave stated that he would be taking on the role of actor Greg Sestero, who co-wrote the behind-the-scenes book on which the film will be based.

James, who will star as Wiseau himself and will also direct and produce, also confirmed the news by posting an image of his brother and Wiseau on photo sharing site Instagram. The picture's caption read: ''DAVY FRANCO and TOMMY WEISEAU!!!!! ''The Disaster Artist'' COMING SOON!!!!''

Sestero's book, which was published in October, was acquired by Dave's 'Bad Neighbours' co-star Seth Rogen's production company Point Grey and his brother's Rabbit Bandini Productions earlier this year.

Rabbit Bandini producer Vince Jolivette told Variety that filming for the project is to start in late 2014 or early 2015.

Wiseau's self-distributed 'The Room' received criticism of being one of the worst films ever made but went on to develop a cult following.
