Tomorrowland 2013 has re-lived its most memorable moments with a brand new 30 minute official after movie featuring clips of the best shows, sights and most ecstatic event-goers.

It really was a weekend to remember for this Belgian dance festival with some fantastic DJ sets being merely a bonus to an already incredible spectacle. Not only does it take place amidst an idyllic landscape in the town of Boom, but the sheer artistry and determination that went into building the terrific floating stages and flower decked arena was a vision to behold. The main stage in particular was a massive structure with several jaw-dropping features including amazing pyrotechnics, an erupting volcano and waterfalls which almost drew eyes away from the main acts; among which were Dutch DJ Tiesto, Swedish house producer Sebastian Ingrosso, the Grammy nominated Avicii and Sunday's main attraction David Guetta.

Highest Paid DJs Ranked By Forbes Make Six Figures Per Appearance

Calvin Harris Tiesto David Guetta Swedish House Mafia

House, dubstep, drum and bass – electronic music in various forms is thriving at the moment, as Forbes’ list of the world’s highest paid DJ’s goes to show. The chart was topped by Scottish-born DJ Calvin Harris, who earned $46 million in the past year, thanks to high profile collaborations and six-figure nightly fees.

Calvin Harris, Radio 1's Big Weekend
Harris, who prefers a low-key lifestyle most of the time, has played venues in Vegas, Ibiza and around the world.

“The rise of dance music has been astronomical in the last three years,” he tells FORBES. “I happened to be in the right place at the right time.” Maybe chance had something to do with it, but Harris’s talent and business savvy meant that in the past year, he played over 100 shows, with nightly fees upwards of $200 000. It was his collaborations with the likes of Rihanna and LMFAO, however, which boosted him to the top of the Forbes chart. Harris is followed closely on the Electronic Cash Kings list by Dutchman Tijs Verwest, better known by his stage name Tiesto. In 2012 and 2013, the DJ earned close to $32 million. Like Harris, the DJ attributes his success to the rise in popularity of various electronic music genres. For Forbes, Verwest commented: “In America, dance music is booming. At the moment … it’s the most exciting genre.”

The 2013 Billboard Music Awards looked to be one of the most celeb-filled events of the year with some of the music industry's biggest stars making their glamorous arrivals.

'22' singer Taylor Swift clutched eight accolades to her chest as she posed on the red carpet having won Top Billboard 200 Album and Top Country Album for 'Red', Top Country Song with 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together', Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Digital Songs Artist and Top Country Artist. Carly Rae Jepsen was another young female star to land a prize winning Top Digital Song and Top Pop Song for her massive 2012 hit 'Call Me Maybe'. Queen of Pop Madonna scooped up three well deserved awards including Top Dance Album for 'MDNA', Top Dance Artist and Top Touring Artist after her controversial 'MDNA' tour which landed her amidst a handful of lawsuits. There was no sign of letting up on the controversial front either as she donned hotpants, suspenders and fishnets at the Billboard event. Top Streaming Artist, Top Rap Artist and Top Rap Album with 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' went to Nicki Minaj while Top EDM Artist was none other than David Guetta who brought his wife Cathy Guetta along with him to the awards show.

Creamfields 2013 - Preview

It's only April but Contactmusic already have one eye on the summer. specifically towards Creamfields 2013 which will be taking place at its usual venue near Daresbury in Cheshire over the August Bank Holiday weekend (Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th August). And while much of the UK's music press will be off to Leeds and Reading, we're looking forward to something that bit more adrenaline-fuelled, weird and wonderful over at Creamfields.

Creamfields 2013 - Preview

Long since established as the UK's premier dance and electronic festival, Creamfields will be in full party spirit this year to celebrate its 15th Birthday, and the initial line-up is befitting such a milestone. Leading the charge for 2013's event are iconic dance pioneers The Prodigy headlining the Saturday night (24th August) with their only UK festival appearance of 2013. Still going strong and approaching their 25th anniversary, the band are still legendary for their incendiary festival appearances and we're expecting nothing less from their Creamfields headliner - true trailblazers! Supporting them on the North Stage that night will be French Wunderkind Madeon and Zane Lowe with DJ sets, while the South stage takes a distinctly more cutting-edge tack with Avicii, Knife Party and Nicky Romero. Steve Angelo and Benny Benassi head up the Size Matters tent, while Eric Prydz invites Marco Carola, Adam Beyer and special guest Maya Jane Coles to his Prydz Friends tent. Also heading up their own tents are Pete Tong and Annie Mac with impressive supporting casts, though personally, we're most excited about Above & Beyond's Anjunabeats stage: with Paul Oakenfold, Gareth Wyn and Gareth Emery giving us a night of exceptional Trance before Above & Beyond themselves come along to finish the whole thing off in glorious style.

Onto the Sunday (25th August) and the big name is undoubtedly David Guetta - arguably the biggest name in the world of electronic music right now - heading up the North Stage with a selection of tunes that have pretty much been resident on radios across the globe over the past few years. Though, he does face a little competition from Tiësto on the South Stage, as well as Groove Armada giving one of their ever-excellent and eclectic DJ sets in the Nation tent, and Sebastian Ingrosso proving that there is life after Swedish House Mafia as he fronts the All Mixed Up stage. Frankly, Sunday is full of mouth-watering clashes, with Richie Hawtin's intelligent Techno jacking the Enter stage around, Laidback Luke and Eddie Halliwell getting hands up in the air at the Super You&Me stage, Kutski, Andy Whitby and Alex Kidd pushing it hard and fast at the Goodgreef X-Tra Hard stage and Subfocus and Modestep bringing the bass tremors in the Speakerbox tent. And frankly, if you've got any energy left after that little lot, you're a stronger man than I am! An impressive line-up all round.

America's favourite EDM fest The Ultra Music Festival have rounded off their last weekend with an impressive line-up.

We expected nothing less than exhilarating, flawless electronic finery from Ultra's uber exciting 2013 2-weekend line-up and neither weekend's artists held back at all as they hit Miami's Bayfront Park full of enthusiasm. Weekend 2's line-up saw a sting of disc jockey legends including double Grammy winner David Guetta, DJ royalty Fatboy Slim, the more recent chart sensation Deadmau5 and the Gold-selling Calvin Harris. Other attendees included Afrojack, who recently remixed Psy's YouTube hit 'Gangnam Style', Dutch sensation Armin Van Buuren, Italian DJ Benni Benassi and out latest electronic music heroes Zeds Dead. Snoop Lion (aka Snoop Dogg) became the highlight of weekend 1, however, and he probably felt right at home having collaborated with many artists on the bill.

Rihanna And Chris Brown's Nobodies Business Leaks Online (Lyrics)

Rihanna Chris Brown Emeli Sande Eminem David Guetta

Rihanna and Chris Browns' Nobodies Business, which appears on Rhi-Rhi's new studio album Unapologetic, has leaked online. News of the controversial collaboration was first announced after Rihanna uploaded an image of the track-listing for the album earlier this week.

The website HipHop-n-More.com is streaming snippets of the new record while 'Nobodies Business' has also turned up on YouTube. The up-tempo track sees the former couple sharing vocal duties. "Your love is perfection. Just point me in the right direction. I'm a give you all my affection. Whatever we touch becomes infectious," sings Rihanna. The lyrics will certainly leave some of the Bajan star's fans uneasy and on the chorus she sings, "I'm a be your girl. I wanna make you mine and it ain't nobodies business," which kind of speaks for itself. Brown - who was convicted of brutally assaulting Rihanna - sings, "Me and you, ain't nobody's business, no it ain't nobody's business",

The track follows on from their collaborative remixes Birthday Cake and Turn Up The Music, which were unveiled earlier this year. Rihanna's new album Unapologetic - also featuring collaborations with David Guetta, Eminem and Emeli Sande - is released on November 19, 2012.

Universal Takes Control Of EMI, Loses David Guetta As Part Of Deal

David Guetta Katy Perry David Bowie Coldplay

Universal won clearance Friday to take over EMI, but with a few provisos to the deal, reports the Associated Foreign Press.

European Commissioner Joaquin Almunia said Universal Music agreed to part company with some of the biggest-selling acts in the business including Coldplay, Pink Floyd, David Bowie and Cliff Richard, to get the deal approved, but perhaps the biggest loss will be French house music producer and DJ David Guetta. They will now acquire the talents of The Beatles, who EMI claim have all-time sales at more than a billion records and huge online revenues continuing. They also benefit from Katy Perry and Robbie Williams "to icons like The Beatles, the Beach Boys, Genesis and Bob Seger," owner French group Vivendi said in a statement. The deal "will benefit the artistic community and music industry," it added.

The decision to merge the two musical superpowers wasn’t without it’s complications, with some bodies concerned that it would create too much power over the terms it sets for digital platforms such as Spotify and Apple's iTunes that distribute music direct to consumers. “Competition in the music business is crucial to preserve choice, cultural diversity and innovation," Almunia said in a statement earlier. "In this investigation, we have paid close attention to digital innovation, which is changing the way that people listen to music." Basically, it’s worth loads and loads of money.
