A New York festival featuring the Descendents and Gogol Bordello was scrapped on Saturday (08Sep12) due to storm warnings.
Severe weather prompted the organisers of the Riot Fest in Williamsburg Park, Brooklyn to cancel the event shortly after it began.
A statement from festival representatives read: "Due to inclement weather, we are sorry to inform the fans of Riot Fest that the rest of this evening's performances at Williamsburg Park have been canceled."
The Descendents and Hot Water Music, another act on the bill, agreed to perform a free show at the nearby Saint Vitus club and all ticket holders were offered refunds or the chance to attend next weekend's (14-16Sep12) festival in Chicago, Illinois.
Next week's three-day event features Rise Against, Iggy And The Stooges, The Offspring, Elvis Costello & The Imposters, Gogol Bordello and the Descendents.
