The original celebrity mom was arrested for drunk driving in Long Island, New York last night and according to the police report (via TMZ) her blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.

Dina Lohan got booked on a DUI.

The 50-year-old senior Lohan was reportedly pulled over on the Northern State Parkway by New York State Police, with the officers initially tagging her for speeding – according to the gossip website, she was doing 77mph in a 55 zone. However, upon talking to Lohan, the cops noted that she appeared to be intoxicated.

The tax man really did catch up with Lindsay Lohan, huh? It turns out the actress has been forced to leave behind the bright lights of New York and the baking sun of Los Angeles and move back into her teenage bedroom in Long Island. "For the past three months that has been her home base," a source close to the family told the New York Daily News.

Mother Dina Lohan reportedly needs her daughter's help to pay the rent on her home. "Dina has been trying to get her to move home for years so she can keep a close eye on her. She didn't want her in L.A. anymore. Not only is she in New York now, she's in the next room," said an insider. Lohan had plenty of cash coming in for 2012, though the tax-man took almost all of that. Nowadays, the only money Lohan makes is from overseas appearances, like the $100,000 she collected to party with Brunei's Prince Azim in London this past New Year. She is reportedly planning a trip to Dubai to endorse the energy drink Mr Pink - suppose it gets her out of the house, eh?

Lohan has been fighting to stay in New York or Los Angeles in recent weeks, even trying to work out a deal with Donald Trump for an apartment. When he refused to give her a discount, she pulled out. Last fall Lohan was struggling to pay the $8,000 monthly rent on her Beverly Hills pad, "She had the lease until February, but Dina said come home."

Worried about Lindsay Lohan and her mother Dina Lohan sleeping rough? Well, worry no more. The troublesome mother - daughter duo may have been turned away from two hotels in Santa Monica but they were eventually taken in at the Beverly Hills hotel. LiLo and DiLo were in Los Angeles looking for somewhere to stay on the eve of Lindsay Lohan’s court hearing but their reputation for trouble had preceded them.

TMZ reported that Lindsay and her mom had been turned away from Shutters (they’d blacklisted her after she trashed one of their rooms back in 2007) and Loews, up the road. Luckily for the Lohan pair, though, the famous Beverly Hills hotel took pity on the wandering travellers and let them have a room, so they should have managed to get some shut-eye ahead of Lohan’s court appearance. It’s the same hotel where Howard Hughes lived, on and off, for around 30 years. The hotel has also provided lodgings for some of the world’s most famous musicians and celebrities, including The Beatles, Liz Taylor and John Wayne.

ITN News have posted footage of Lohan’s arrival at court, wearing a smart black dress and shades. Her lawyer explained to the court that there had been confusion over whether or not Lindsay would be well enough to attend the hearing. A trial date has been set for March 18, 2013.

Lindsay Lohan has returned to LA for her court date under possible threat of arrest after being spotted by paparazzi smoking and shopping in SoHo New York despite having her lawyer file a doctor's note to say she was too ill to fly to LA to appear in court, according to TMZ.

Dina Lohan, the mother of Lindsay Lohan, has accused her ex-husband Michael Lohan of raping her on February 14, 1990. Dina told the New York Daily News that she was at her parents' home with her kids when her husband suddenly showed up in a limousine following his release from prison.

"He was out of jail and on another coke-fueled night," said Dina. She claimed Michael tried to convince her to take him back. "He said, 'I love you and I want to be with you,' but then it went dark. It went dark really quick," adding that her kids "were sleeping, and I just knew I had to stay quiet - I don't want to wake them." According to Nassau County Hospital medical records, Dina went to ER and reported a rape. She was examined by doctors and her clothes and other evidence was gathered for a rape kit.

During the explosive interview - held at a Long Island hotel - Dina accused Michael of years of abuse and blamed her ordeal on daughter Lindsay's wayward lifestyle. "Lindsay saw her dad abuse me - that's why she's so screwed up." The memories came flooding back for Dina after seeing a family snapshot of herself holding a young Lindsay while sporting a huge purple bruise under her right eye. "When Lindsay saw the photo, she was furious.She said, 'Tell the world! Talk about it!'

Lindsay Lohan has a long-lost half-sister currently living in Montana, it has emerged. For some reason, her father Michael Lohan thought it a good idea to reveal the DNA results on 'The Trisha Goddard Show' on Thursday (November 14, 2012).

Those results proved that Michael fathered a daughter while he was married to ex-wife Dina in the mid 1990's. "While I'm sorry it took so long, we finally got the answer, and I'm 100% happy with it," he told the New York Daily News, "We're all okay with it and will deal with it in the best way we can." The 52-year-old had previously denied paternity and refused to provide financial support, leading his ex-flame Kristi Horn Kaufmann to take her case to the media. Fair enough. Kaufman said her daughter Ashley, now 17, was born after a relationship between herself and Michael squeezed between the birth of his two youngest kids with Dina. They were married from 1985 to 2007. Since then, Lohan has risen to become one of the most recognizable actresses on the planet, though also one of the most troubled. She's been in trouble with the law innumerable times, most recently for stealing jewellery from a Venice Beach store.

Michael says she regrets not taking responsibility for Ashley sooner, "I apologized to her. I thought there were other men besides me (in her mom's life)," he said, adding, "We're having and will have a good relationship.I've spoken to her four times since (filming the segment) last week."

After a few weeks of ignorant, thoughtless and insensitive tweets, ranging from interesting political views (people on the Forbes' rich list needing a tax break too), and insensitive views of Hurricane Sandy (or Hurricane Sally, was it?), to the support of Nazism, Karma has finally caught up with Lindsay Lohan. Okay, so the Hitler/Nazi support was actually a hacker, and Karma hasn't caught up with Lindsay so much as it couldn't find the right Lohan, opting for Lindsay's mother instead. Nevertheless, the irony is palpable. 

Dina Lohan, Lindsay Lohan's mum, has now suffered at the hands of the enormous storm that hit the north east coast of the US and Canada earlier this week. As TMZ reports, "a tree was uprooted on [Dina's] property and ripped a gash through her roof on its way down ... before landing over the family pool." Other photos from the area in which Dina lives, sees boats stranded on land having been dumped there by the storm. All of this comes after Lindsay's tweet:."WHY is everyone in SUCH a panic about hurricane (i'm calling it Sally)..? Stop projecting negativity!" she said.  

Well, at least she's got the answer to her question. Luckily, no one was hurt by the treebranch and everyone in the family is okay. 

Lindsay Lohan's October is just going from bad to worse as her father attempts to stage an intervention, attempting to have her put in the control of a conservatorship.

A conservatorship is a legal term for passing over one's legal power to someone else, when deemed unfit to control oneself. Britney Spears famously is currently under a conservatorship, headed by her lawyer, father and fiancée, after her infamous mental and emotional breakdown a few years ago. Lindsay's father, Michael Lohan, decided that after last week's domestic incident with her mother (Dina), in which police were called to a fight between the mother and daughter, and Lindsay accused Dina of taking cocaine, it was the right time to intervene. He accused Lindsay of being "substance abuser... who is hanging with the wrong group of people, including [her mother]." and cited these as reasons for the intervention that he attempted, and failed, this weekend (20th/21st Oct 2012).

According to TMZ, although Michael thinks the conservatorship is necessary, he isn't willing to step up into that responsibility. Lindsay's siblings also reportedly claimed that the entire thing was a publicity stunt by Michael. This claim is backed up by Lindsays publicist who told Entertainment Weekly: "It's apparent Michael continues to be very focused on getting publicity for himself, Lindsay's team is in no way aligned with him or his actions." We have to wonder, therefore, if her own father doesn't approve of his daughter spending time with her own mother, while her father is unwilling to take responsibility for her, and indeed use her for publicity- where is the young star supposed to turn in times of need? And, more importantly, from whom is she supposed to learn those perpetually important moral lessons? We don't deem a conservatorship to be needed at all, but some good parenting certainly wouldn't go amiss. Where's Supernanny when you need her?

Michael Lohan is attempting to get a conservator for daughter Lindsay Lohan after becoming increasingly mindful of her current personal problems. This is a man who attempted to evade arrest last year by jumping out of a third-story window into a tree, injuring his foot in the process.

According to TMZ.com, Michael has told attorneys that his daughter "is in the danger zone" as a substance abuser and is hanging out with the wrong people, including his ex-wife Dina. He has ruled himself out as a potential conservator because he doesn't want to run her finances, though wants a lawyer to put somebody in place, and quickly. Ideally, Mr Lohan would want a conservator's first job to be finding a suitable rehabilitation facility for his daughter. Her past stays at the Cirque Lodge and the Betty Ford clinic haven't been particularly successful, with Michael saying, "She went in dirty and didn't come out clean." He also wants the conservator to convince Lindsay's mother Dina that they all need family therapy.

TMZ.com first reported on Friday (October 19, 2012) how Michael showed up at Lindsay's Los Angeles pad to stage an "intervention." He told cameras outside the house that his daughter was surrounding herself with "a bunch of alcoholics and drug addicts."

Lindsay Lohan’s bust-up with her mother, Dina Lohan, is more complex than it first appeared. TMZ have somehow obtained a recording of the conversation that Lindsay had with her father whilst sharing a car with her mother. The conversation doesn’t follow any logical narrative, but Lindsay can be heard telling her father that she had given Dina $40,000 so that she could “keep her house.” She also tells him that her mother is on cocaine.

A hysterical Lindsay rang her father and during the call, Dina is accused of kidnapping her daughter. Her dad asks to speak to the driver on a couple of occasions, but she does not hand the phone over to him. “She's saying disgusting things to me ... I'm dead to her now,” Lindsay tells him and later says that her mother had called the cops on her, though it’s unclear what for. She also seems to be accusing her dad of having called the cops as well. And let’s face it – the last thing that Lohan needs right now is the cops on her tail. She’s barely been managing to keep herself on the straight and narrow since her probation ended and has rarely been out of the tabloids over the last few weeks.

In many ways, listening to the tape makes you feel sorry for Lohan; it seems that she can’t even trust those close to her, with her dad insisting that Dina has been lying her about needing money to prevent foreclosure on her house. “She’s like the f***ing devil right now.” It’s not looking good for Lindsay right now.

It's not just Lindsay Lohan's life that's spinning out on control, her family seems to be following her down. Unless, Lohan's following her mum, Dina, down as she seems to claim in a recording reported by TMZ.com, in which she's heard to say “This is what you do.  You ruin people... [You're] like the... devil right now.”

The recording is of a fight between the mother and daughter which erupted at 4am after a night out and seemed to be a dispute over money. Dina apparently owes Lindsay $40,000 that the Mean Girls star lent to her mother to avoid the foreclosure of her home.

The fight led to a 911 call in regard to a 'domestic disturbance' although no arrests were made and the police refused to give any comment on the details of the altercation. The TMZ recording is of a phonecall that she made to her dad in which she also accuses her mother of being on cocaine and that she “[has a] gash on [her] leg from what happened.” The website say they will be releasing the audio later.

Lindsay Lohan and her mother Dina reportedly had a sensational blowout on the way back from a night out, according to TMZ. Lindsay's never to do things by half when it comes to creating a scene so it's no surprise that there were soon police in the area. It's believed that the trouble started when the duo left a New York nightclub at about 4am this morning and headed back to Dina's home in Long Island via limo.

The argument came about in the car when it became apparent that the two of them wanted to go to different places. With reports that Dina was apparently wasted, she insisted on going back home in the limo to avoid paying for a taxi; her daughter however wanted the car to take her back to the hotel she was staying at. Though it's quite unclear who instigated the physical contact, Lindsay ended up with a cut on her leg as well as a broken bracelet.

In developments, one witness claimed that Lindsay was being held against a wall by her mother, while further reports indicate that police took a domestic incident report but made no arrests. Those Lohans ey? It looked like Lindsay might be getting back to making the news for her career again, with anticipation building ahead of film 'The Canyon'.

Amanda Bynes' recent legal troubles have attracted comments from the mother of another wild child, reports Mercury News.

Lindsay Lohan's mother Dina Lohan doesn't acknowledge the similarities between her daughter and Bynes, but did have something to say on matters: "You know, I'm a mother, and I feel that that's for her mother to speak about, and not me, because people have spoken for my child and myself," Lohan told Entertainment Tonight. "I really feel that's for her parents to discuss and Amanda herself." Nice of mummy-Lohan to give her view, and she went even further, deciding to advise the Bynes on how to look after their daughter: "Just be around. It's hard when your daughter's not, you know, over 18, and you want to let them go and they want to feel like they're in control of themselves. So it's a very strategic place for a parent to be, but she'll be OK."

Bynes' latest exploit, like that of Lohan's, was a hit and run incident, which she has pleaded not guilty for. Well, her lawyers entered the plea for her, as the 26-year-old was in New York trying to launch her fashion career. She has previously been arrested for drink driving, and talking on her cell phone whilst behind the wheel. In fact, all her misdemeanours are automobile related.
