Fact: Actor Donald Sutherland is set to star in, co-write and produce the animated film adaptation of a prize-winning children's book. William Gilkerson's Pirate's Passage won the Governor General's Award for children's literature in 2006, and now Sutherland is hoping to take it to the big screen. He will voice the main character, Captain Charles Johnson, who sails into a Nova Scotia town in 1952 and helps a mother and son save their inn.
