Donatella Versace wanted to show her ''softer side'' in her haute couture autumn/winter 2015 collection.

The 60-year-old fashion designer unveiled her latest line for Atelier Versace at Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week yesterday (05.07.15) which featured ethereal sheer gowns and was set on a catwalk of plexiglass revealing around 25,000 orchids underneath.

Speaking of the show, during which models were sent down the runway sporting flower garland headbands, Donatella said: ''[It's] not romantic. But we all have a softer side''.

The delicate dresses required around 600 hours of hand embroidery to complete and although the layered chiffon designs appear perfectly finished off at first sight, a closer look at the material's intentionally frayed and raw edges hints at Donetella's vision for a reconstructed collection.

She explained to the Independent newspaper: ''[It's] construction and deconstruction. Like you mess your dress.''

The stunning show also featured a host of famous faces including reality TV star Kendall Jenner, Doutzen Kroes, Karlie Kloss, Joan Smalls and Lara Stone who opened the show.

Blonde beauty Rosie Huntingdon Whiteley was also present although she didn't walk in the show and arrived at the Parisian venue in a revealing chiffon black gown before heading backstage to mingle with her model pals.
