Dr. Luke (September 26th 1973) Dr. Luke is a producer who worked on Kelly Clarkson's 'Since U Been Gone' with Max Martin. Dr. Luke: Net worth Dr. Luke has a net worth of $100 million according to Celebrity Net Worth (2015).

Musical Career: Dr. Luke was part of the Saturday Night Live Band as a guitarist from 1997 to 2007. During that time he worked on commercials and produced tracks for artists such as Mos Def, Black Star, KRS-One and Zack de la Rocha. Among his production credits are Kelly Clarkson's 'Since U Been Gone' with Max Martin, Pink's 'U + Ur Hand', Avril Lavigne's 'Girlfriend', the Sugababes' 'About You Now', Katy Perry's 'I Kissed a Girl', Miley Cyrus' 'Party in the U.S.A.', Britney Spears' 'Circus' and Jessie J's 'Price Tag'. He also did extensive work with Kesha on her second album 'Warrior'. In 2010, he won 10 ASCAP Pop Music Awards for songwriting and producing. That year he was also nominated at the Grammys.

Personal Life: Gottwald was born in Rhode Island but lived in New York City for a long time. He identifies as Jewish. He learned guitar at the age of 13. He was embroiled in a lot of conflict regarding his work with Kesha in 2013. He was accused of taking too much control over her work and instigating her struggle with bulimia nervosa. She later filed a lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault and harassment, after which he filed a countersuit for defamation.

As Kesha's case against her former producer Dr. Luke continues, it is revealed that the latter is no longer an affiliate of Sony or its subsidiary label Kemosabe Records. It is unknown whether this is solely down to the Kesha case, or whether their separation had been imminent for other reasons.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, he has left the position of CEO at Kemosabe Records and is no longer able to act on its behalf. Surely that could only mean good things for Kesha, right? With her being stuck in her recording contract and yet no forced to work with Dr. Luke?

The 29-year-old has been locked in a legal battle with producer Dr Luke since 2014, which has effectively put her music career on hold, but it appears new material could be coming sooner than expected.

It seems that litigation between Kesha and Dr. Luke has come to a shocking end as the singer decides to drop all charges of sexual assault in a bid to get her career back on track. In fact, she's passed on a whole bunch of new songs to Luke's Sony label.

Kesha Speaks Out After Dr Luke's Label Calls Off Her Billboard Music Awards Performance

Singer Kesha has spoken out after her performance at this year’s Billboard Music Awards was cancelled when Dr Luke’s record label Kemosabe Records withdrew their support. Kesha was due to perform a cover of Bob Dylan’s ‘It Ain’t Me Babe’ at the ceremony on May 22nd, but it had been previously reported that the performance would include ‘direct references to her ongoing legal battle with Dr Luke’.

KeshaKesha will no longer be performing at the Billboard Music Awards.

On Instagram Kesha wrote: "I was very excited to perform a tribute to Bob Dylan by singing a cover of "It ain't me, babe" at the Billboard awards this year. I'm very sad and sorry to say I won't be allowed to do this.”

On Friday Kesha was was denied her request for a preliminary injunction that would allow her to release music without producer Dr Luke, who she has previously accused of sexual assault and emotional abuse.

The multi-million selling pop star Kesha has filed a lawsuit against music producer Dr Luke, claiming that he sexually, physically, verbally and emotionally abused her for 10 years - almost killing her. In documents obtained by the gossip website TMZ.com, Kesha claims Dr Luke made sexual advances towards her after signing with him aged 18. She also claims he forced her to use drugs and alcohol to remove her defenses.

Recalling one alleged instance, Kesha says she was forced to snort something before getting on a plane, with Dr Luke forcing himself on her while she was drugged. Keith Urban will return to the American Idol judging panel. The show will start its 13th season with a new (well returning) set of judges and will, possibly, have a new format. Fox entertainment Chief Kevin Reilly told the press on Thursday (1st August) at the Television Critics Association press tour that Urban would definitely be returning to judge.
