Fans of Drake in Amsterdam on Monday night were left furious after the rapper postponed his show for the third time in three months.

Doors had already opened at the 17,000 capacity Ziggo Dome, when the audience were told that Drake would not be performing and fans quickly began voicing their displeasure.

According to Pitchfork, a promoter took to the stage to inform the audience that Drake was ill and had been ordered by doctors not to perform. After the announcement some fans booed, while others began throwing beer.

The show has now been rescheduled for Wednesday night (March 29). It’s the third time Drake’s Ziggo Dome show has been postponed since January.

Originally Drake was scheduled to perform on January 20, but the date was moved to January 26. The date was then rescheduled for March 27.

On Twitter fans lashed out at the rapper, after some had travelled miles for the show. One fan tweeted: “Still salty I drove 4 1/2 hrs to Amsterdam for nothing and have to drive back to Germany in the morning and still didn't see @Drake."

Another added: “Guess Drake can’t handle Amsterdam. So much for love and respect your fans.” While a third wrote: “The boy doesn't face his responsibilities tour. Three times…”

Last week Drake released his playlist album More Life, which has broken streaming records and topped the Billboard chart. The album features guest spots from artists including Skepta, Young Thug and Kanye West.
